| I think the whole mess with the trial and the operation was unnecessary. It was said that the injured boy was on his death, he would have died sooner or later. Yet, Black Jack came up with that idea to sacrifice somebody. Then he put Davie through all this suffering, and even though his life was saved, the boy has to hide for all of his life, since Daddy is after him. And he got a well-known face just to make it more nice... If the boy had been already in trouble, then the decision of Black Jack would have been understandable. But this way, I can't think about him as a hero. Davie wasn't even extremely poor. He had a moderate, yet IMO happy life with his mother, and now everything is messed up. (Oh, and he is thankful to Black Jack, but that's because he doesn't know whose idea was that whole stuff.) :S It was a great story, but I don't see the point. I hope further chapters will make more sense. |

| Damn, great chapter. Really thought Black Jack was going to actually let him die. That would have been really cold. The chapter was less a medical one than a social commentary on how the wealthy influence society and step over others. As this is my first Tezuka work I really love how easily communicable the manga flows and how understandable it is. The cutesy art style is kind of misleading. |
