| Vol. 1, Chapter 6: The idea of sacrificing your best and most experienced pilots makes no sense. The Republic has already broken every single promise they've made to the 86, but for the one promise of only having to serve five years they just can't seem to break. This is also the reason why countries that require conscription in war have the Soldiers say in the service until the conflict is over or until the state determines they can be released. What's worse about all of this is that it feels more like its done to create tension in the story leading up to the climax even though it just doesn't make sense. |
