The 2nd Season got too much hate but still I loved it so much thought kazuya is still ficked up....gut still gonna miss it

S2 was exact same as S1.
Literally nothing important happened.
Kazuya was a creep, Chizuru was struggling and suffering, Mami was a bitch, Ruka was insufferable and Sumi appeared like twice and did not even pretended to contribute.

"My stepmom's daughter is my ex" had a cringe premise but the story is definitely better and it keeps progressing with the proper explanation

Both animes have cringe moments which is no surprise but if we have to compare the storyline then MSDIME deals with the issue of immature teen love story, regrets on not taking action when you have time to do so with likable protagonist and FMC where as Kanojo Okarishimasu have many subplots to it and that's why it has been messed up, the way all these subplots had been progressing since season 1 had been pathetic except Chizuru's dream & the animation of MSDIME is on par with RGAF S2

So even if it is by a teensy bit, My stepmom's daughter is my ex is definitely a more realistic and better anime overall than RGAF

However if you like RGAF more despite knowing above facts, I respect your opinion

People hate it particularly more due to the overstretched manga and a particular chapter

Besides that, you have got Kazuya the trash MC, Ruka, one of the most annoying character, the plot progression which is barely faster than a moving snail at this point of time & under utilisation of character like Sumi Chan and Kazuya's friends, not only this, the show also keeps reminding you how perfect Chizuru is which actually steals all the spotlight from any other character and it actually even went far enough to make Kazuya's grandma cringe as well XD!!!!!

I know most of the above points can be tackled by saying that it was done on the purpose of comedy, however it didn't work out in the case of many so that's why I guess it surely deserves criticism especially when you just keep overstretching the same plot for nothing in manga

i like the season, it wasnt anything i would say remarkable but i enojyed it. Although i liked the last episodes more. Personally i just want to see the movie arc and the chapters where kazuya tries to cheer up chizuru, whcih were the best chapters ive read of the whole story. After that idgaf if they dont renew the anime.
