Shogo Misaki's trauma and fear against Yusa, it's a fear that he could not overcome and would take long for that to happen, and it depends on his time at Hirayama that could serve as a long-standing payoff.

That said, Mizushima is gaining traction at the Inter-High, and is part of the optimal lineup for the matches ahead as part of the singles. And not to lack behind on badminton practices, night practices the Yusa way that everyone joins in on the workout.

The semifinals against Hirayama, and Coach Ebihara deciding to use Mizushima as means for Misaki glossing over him for Yusa to pick up the slack, he tries his best as everyone cheers him on back in school. For both him and Misaki whom are always chasing after Yusa as their benchmark, they've fought harder than ever before to match his standard, and Mizushima came out on top.

As expected, the doubles succeeded, and they're on their way to the finals, against the school they've trained together with in the past: Saitama Futaba. This will determine Yokohama Minato's standing, and for the better.

3 episodes to go, and thus begins the final stretch.

Love how the school is really support the sport activity, even other students are interesting in watching live stream.

The anime is very good at making an interesting rival in a short amount of time, instead of having Ryou winning against a random/unknown opponent, we get a memorable Misaki, which was from the same middle school as Ryou and want to catch up to Yusa.

Ryou's muscle is very flexible. I already imagine if Yusa has kid with Ryou's sister, the strong genetic from both family is gonna create an ultimate badminton player.

Anyone notice the real VIP is the coach? He's not afraid to use tactic like "go for opponent's weak point from his injury" or "go for opponent's strong point to destroy his confidence". He has a mindset of a villain!

Graduated senpai appear throughout the episode as the coach's assistant but he doesn't have a single dialogue, can I get his onsen scene as a goodbye fanservice? The hotel they live in seems to have a built-in hotspring.

Next episode preview, Yusa is in a bad spot and risk losing in double, my prediction is he'll remain unbeatable in double (but probably at the cost of Yokokawa permanent leg inury) so that he'll lose to Ryou in a final single match.

I bet they spend a lot more budget on this episode solely. Cool stuff to see there. Against Misaki should've been on the final instead. But y'know its all about Ryou and his prince story in general. Not to mention the road still unfinished till they manage to achieve one last push of victory. So, alright, let's see next!

It's the best episode untill now, because it shows the evolution of the character and finally a true match of badminton.

The internal tensions have been building(for awhile) but dealing with their own internal mechanisms, their own way is a/the main focus of this show. Mizushima has the training, he has a tangible goal, and now an unwavering focus.. let's go. Those legs were meant to fly!

everybody wants a piece of Yusa, but the one Yusa wants a piece of (or return his feelings back) doesn't seem to take him seriously! lol

Now looks like Misaki's obsession shifted from Yusa to Mizushima lol
