why do so many LN cote readers say to start from vol 1 is there that much of a significance or a difference from starting where someone left off or is it just for enjoyment purposes

Recently started light novel and it’s necessary there is such a big difference in how much depth it goes in also it’s just better in basically every way although I enjoy the anime as it’s own thing.

The anime is currently adapting volume 6 but you should start reading from volume 1 or at least 4.
You will probably miss a lot of thing if you start from v6

Yes there is
A light novel is the original story written by the creator of the anime and has much much more details so much that anime has to cut almost 1/3 of the contents of ln
I really recommend you should start from vol 1

I recommend you watch the first season of the anime and then read the novels from volume 4. The LN from volume 4 is almost excellent, the problem is its first three volumes which are extremely average and in my opinion are a terrible way to enter the franchise

Those volumes are good in terms of history but the narrative and the style that it has are what I dislike, they are too generic for such a good series. For its part, the first season makes some modifications, in my opinion, necessary to interest the viewer more.
I recommend starting with the first season anime and then reading the LN, but you could also give the LN a try from the beginning and watch the anime if it doesn't grab you

if you ask my opinion, volume 3 has been best adapted by anime so far, the island test

Tbh i have started reading from the volume 4 but i can’t really feel the excitedness of reading the novel cuz i only read novel before due to being forced because of school final exam. And now, i read the COTE LN..i am QUITE sure i will forget almost most of the everything i read 🤣 Thats why i hope they made manga adaptation for this LN. Unfortunately, the vibe for Ayanokouji is way to different than the anime and LN vers. So, i guess it’s better to read LN or watch anime even though they tend to skip alot LN scenes in the anime adaptation which is really sucks

Because you will be EXTREMELY confused. Go read from where the anime has left off at and see for yourself how confused you'll actually feel because of missed events and how different characters may feel.
