I was on the fence with this show early on but this episode just got me hooked. It was just a lot of fun to watch all the technological fighting going on. Amasawa has got some amazing skills but Fumie is not bad herself.

I really want to see what happened with Yasako now. It looked like Amasawa hit a nerve talking to her about the past at the shoe lockers.

...even a saint needs a soldier to do the dirty work.

Amazing episode. I loved seeing the three-way battle between all of them... Amasawa's pretty awesome but Fumie is also pretty good. At least, Fumie seems more clever than Daichi. XD

I wonder what happened at Yasako's old school...

Am I the only one who finds this anime's setting confusing as hell? Sure, I get the gist of what is happening, but that's not enough for me to properly appreciate those action-y routines.

Mixed feelings on Yuko. Not the protagonist, the anti-social/tries-to-be-cool/happens-to-be-insanely-skilled archetype.

Like the others said, loved the cyber fight. Isako's prowess.

This episode make me dislike all the other characters. =.=

Does anyone know what was said on the blue screen at the very end, in the stolen information?

The subbers who did my copy of the show didn't translate it.

edit; This is a FREAKING INCREDIBLE show, by the way!

I am also curious as to what was written on the blue screen. Would be glad if someone could enlighten me.

And the cyber warfare.. oh man, that was intense.

According to the Wikipedia episode summary, it said "Michiko."

The world building in this anime has the potential to be amazing... I can't wait to find out more about Daikoku City.

The three-way battle was intense. Isako is a boss though. It took Daichi, Fumie, and Grandma's meta-tags to take a small piece of information from her. And here I thought the school episodes were going to be boring.

Daichi is a little rascal, I hope we see more of his antics, because with him around there's never a dull moment.

A surprisingly entertaining series so far even if it looks like the target audience is children. I don't care for the technobabble, but hopefully they'll tone it down once the main idea has been established.

This makes me think about how relatively sparse shows or movies about augmented reality are even now when it's technically possible to do all kinds of stuff. There are a few, but it's not exactly mainstream. Maybe it's because now that the capability exists, people have realized that it won̈́'t change our lives as much as the engineers have imagined. Or the benefits at the moment aren't great enough compared to costs. At least to me it seems that both in anime and live action there used to be more technologically speculative science fiction around the turn of the millennium. That's why it's still refreshing to see older shows like this; my experience is that this hasn't been done to death in recent years.

This was awesome. Kids being kids man, I loved the triple threat technological throwdown between Daichi's crew, Isako and Fumie sneaking in. The episode showed the applications of these augmented reality powers and the differences in abilities and skills really well between all parties involved, and also proceeded further on with its intriguing mysteries regarding the actual storyline and characters too, particularly surrounding Michiko, who Isako is and how is she that powerful (to the point of pretty much being like an AR Gilgamesh with that Gate of Babylon-like firepower) as well as Yasako's past before in Kanazawa potentially being linked to bullying of some sort that seemed to throw her off when Isako suggested that she knew about her past like that. Very entertaining and interesting stuff in this episode.

It's always interesting to see this show's own twist in regards to action.Among classmates, there are a few delinquent type of boys who want to get it going in the cyber world themselves.Altough it was not enough,i am impressed by the effort from Fumie.

Holy crap, that was a crazy three-way hacking battle. The animation has always been stellar, but some of the bits here are akin to movie-levels of smooth. Also, I just noticed that Fumie's usage of metatags are akin to Shinto ofuda. It's interesting seeing a semi-religious and spiritual element applied to a technological setting, though I suppose the adage of a sufficiently advanced technology being indiscernible from magic comes into play.

Yuko said even if she does nothing she is still attacked. As if she is just a perpetual victim. But like, it's not like she did nothing. She did steal Yasuko's dog. Which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Daichi harassing her, but, she's not exactly a paragon of virtue or anything. Plus, she was literally confrontation with Yasuko about the whole situation. Going so far as to pretend as if she didn't steal her dog. I'm not a fan of characters like this. Take responsibility for your actions.

Either way, if the kids are just constantly doing this to each other; shooting missiles and obscuring each other's vision with pop-ups, it must be exhausting trying to teach them.

Somewhat felt bad seeing Yuuko bullied by the other guys at school but at the same time she's so mysterious... it's like she knows about the other Yuuko and of course her past seems hidden something surely happened and she wants to hide it/forgot everything. The hack battle was tense... looks like they know a little more now (?)
