| I would say emotional connection is actually the biggest factor for me when I decide whether or not I like an anime. Which... is also related to enjoyment, sure- but I think the anime that I've enjoyed the least are the ones that failed to connect with me and make me feel something. For me to enjoy it, I have to care about the characters, care about the story, or care about the moments an anime is trying to convey. So these factors kind of go hand in hand for me, but with emotional connection at the front. My favorite anime have all made me feel... something, in some way. And I know they wouldn't be my favorites, otherwise. It's honestly why I watch anime, and it's absolutely a deciding factor, for me. |

| Originality something out of the ordinary, most important part being the story...are my biggest factor for liking an anime... I am not gonna like some anime just because it has some fancy light show and camera angles... So yes enjoyment of the story is a big a part of liking anime... Not fancy light show....or what you call animation.. I'm not a animation student who would be impressed by the animation,.i dont care for how fancyass the graphics are if the story is shit and characterization sucks... Huge reason why a lot of mangas fail serialisation even if the art is immaculate... The enjoyment and excitement people feel from the plots are the most important factor...in anime |
