I really don't intend to trigger anyone and I'm not just trying to troll or anything, so, well, it will be hard to be objective towards Sailor Moon since it's really one of the shows i dislike the most.
Leaving aside the fact that I'm a guy who likes deep, dark Seinen anime and Sailor Moon being genuinely whamen exclusive (pls don't even try to deny that, it's not worth it), there are still plenty of things about it that genuinely bother me.
The show is very episodic and relies heavily on a monster-of-the-week-plot, even the worst shonen anime can come up with something better. The characters are superficial, tropy and full of cliches. You have the stupid, lazy, whiny mc (for whatever reason they would make her the mc), the calm nerd, the tsundere, etc. Even One Piece or Naruto have so much more character developement and the characters are so much more fleshed out.
Another important point might be that Sailor moon is outright sexist and even more so than most shoujo anime (pls don't even start being surprised, it's way to obvious). While so many shonen anime are full of strahng whamen, i'm still waiting to this day for a shoujo anime that includes actually male characters who are not only the love interest of the mc or anything. There are literally two men in Sailor Moon who appear in more than 5 episodes or so: Mamoru, the perfect strong cute love interest of the mc and the weird creepy incel guy with the glasses who obviously represents all men who aren't cute aka. the love interest of the mc.
That's not the only occasion where i asked myself what kind if trauma the writer of Sailor Moon had to process when writing the manga. Around episode 14 of the first season there is a scene where some guy (the henchman of the evil demon queen or whatever) faces the sailor warriors and says something like: "muhaha, I'm so strong and you women are so week, what you gonna do?" and the sailor warriors answer: "Women can be strong to, you evil guy, we will show you the power of love!!!111" and then they kill him. I can't remember having ever cringed so hard when watching an anime, be it Boku no Pico or a hentai. I had to stop watching the show for a month or so and my feeling constantly ranged from a cringe overdose to "I really hope she gets better and will be able to develope a normal and healthy relationship to men". For my and your good and for the sake of our limited time, I'll restrain myself from coming up with more examples like the episode where Sailor Venus tells another one of the sailor warriors who's talking with her love interest: "Why are you so nice to him? He is a man." - I'm sure you get the point.
Long story short: There's literally nothing I like about the show, but I dislike basically everything about it, probably because it's the exact opposite of my anime taste but I also argue that it's objectively trash: It's superficial, repetitive, cheesy, extremely women exclusive, outright sexist, full of cheap cliches, schematic etc.
But it's totaly okay if people like it and it's even more okay if you dislike some of the seinen anime in my favorites.
Just in case you are mad about what I wrote and you intend to write a long response, don't bother, we might just have different tastes because whe have different genders, and it's not worth it to have a longwinded discussion about it, neither of us will change our mind. I hope I could help you understanding why people wouldn't like Sailor Moon at least a bit.
This criticism is aimed at the original 90's anime, right? I admit I don't like it for the reasons you mentioned. Its MOTW formula gets stale after 2 seasons. Let's agree on that.
