Question about Mami

It's been forever since I watched season 1, so most of this is just going off of memory. My question is, why is Mami so fixated on Kazuya? From the looks of it, she was fine after breaking up when they dated, but the moment he moved on, she became bothered by this and got involved again. Is this just how she is? Calculating and enjoys messing with him? Why does she care that he moved on when she seemed to be fine before? She really is a bitch the more I think about it, and it's awesome; she makes this show worth watching. I know the manga is going on infinitely with no progression on the main Kazuya & Chizuru, but has this answer been revealed yet?

Yeah, I understood this much. It was my mistake for thinking there was something deeper than jealously, like a past trauma or something elaborate.

Mami is just a bitch. But hey besides the fact that she’s a horrible character she’s trying to make kazuyas life worse so that’s a good thing.

If your asking for an actual reason, its because that the author made it like that because girls HAVE to revolve around Kazuya.

Theres no good reason for it besides wish fulfillment.

I heard it has something to do with her past which is revealed in the manga but can't personally confirm since I haven't read it.

Im a Manga reader and can confirm that it has to do with her past and the way she was raised. It is explained pretty late so i would quess its more likely to be s4 if there ever Will be a s4.

Pretty certain she just hates that he moved on. Or at least she thinks he did. If she knew how much he still liked her and he was renting Chizuru from the beginning, I think she'd make fun of him, but wouldn't try to get between them. I had a high school girlfriend like this, who cheated on me and dropped me when I stood up to her about it. Then I met someone new, and she lost her mind, tried to get between us, tried to guilt me about "never caring for her" etc. So who knows, maybe I'm just projecting into Mami.

Either way, I think she's got a lot of issues and is taking it out on Kazuya.

She has the dumbest fucking "trauma" I've heard of.

Basically the father made her break up with her 5-year old "boyfriend" at the time because they had to move. Ever since then, she became a crazy bitch that ruins relationships.
