| Knowing how much of a boys club their work culture has been, I have my doubts as to how well Rockstar can write a female character. Odds are that they'll miss the mark by trying too hard and end up pandering to the woke and misandrist mobs. Hopefully they'll take notes form Saints Row and just make a badass character that can be of any gender in terms of characterization. Or just more directly offer character customization like Saints Row. I mean, shit, they've already used some of Volition's ideas in GTA Online; might as well use The Boss as well and have Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, Nolan North and Jennifer Hale voice the main character. |

What little controversy GTA V caused didn't ultimately hurt its success. >No Dan Houser Dan Houser has had a lead creative role on every game in the series and his departure combined with the above complaint and the article suggesting that this game is going to offer a different experience makes me worry about the new game feeling more like one of the many GTA clones than actual GTA. Also I recently watched a netflix series about some lower class LA latinos where every character was insufferable and the only things they talked about were the fact they were latino and making fun of white people. Is that a trend in witing fictional hispanic american characters that could spill over to the new grand theft auto or was this show a lone case of hack writers? |

| GTA V story sucked I doubt GTA VI is going to be any better. Now with the popularity of GTA Online GTA VI is just going to be an advertisement for it's online counterpart. I doubt that female protagonist is enough to save GTA although it is welcomed as long as they don't make her deliberately ugly like Mass Effect Andromeda did. |

People aren't worried about the female lead, they are worried the series will be toned down. Nobody wants a toned down GTA, it goes against everything that made the series so popular. Tracey and Amanda were pheromonally written..... In all seriousness I think that Rockstar will put in a bit more legwork into the protagonist. Going foward I feel like the biggest issue the series is going to have is being too much like saints row. 5 was loud and bombastic and almost never took itself seriously. It was zanny and weird but unlike 4's weirdness it never felt like it was rooted in reality. I wouldn't be surprised if 6 went further in this direction especially considering the dlc Rockstar released for the games. But they might surprise you. They might surprise me. I hope we're both wrong. |

| I'm a bit skeptical about it because Rockstar will have to write a story that fits well with a female main character. If the protagonist acts with male mannerisms it may seem off. I think if they approach it like how saints row did with Shaundi it can work well. That being said, Rockstar is exceptional at creating groundbreaking stories so I feel like it will be fine. |
