tons of western authors do the same premise?

why are there so many triggered vegans angry about this manga lol, dragon killing = whaling?
most retarded logic i've ever seen,
as if other countries don't pollute the waters and destroy millions of lives and ecosystems,
for example cats kill 1.2 billion birds a year and are responsible for slow extinctions of many species but people will still defend owning cats because westerners are downright retarded in their world views.

The problem isn't just the whaling. It's that the characters and the story that are so shit. They have 0 depth. Just look at the MC Mika, and what can you tell me about his character and any development he has had? His whole life is "I want to eat dragons". I'm on chapter 41 now and there is barely any story, just episodic nonsense. 1) hunt dragon 2) sell/eat it 3) show us recipe 4) repeat. It's a glorified cook book and the art carries the whole thing. They only show things from the human's point of view. That's the worst part of this whole "story". It's so bland and uninteresting, every volume is repetitive, no good characters, the fights suck too. There is not one redeemable quality of this manga except for the art. That's all.
