The amount of episodes I've watched is incorrect (not because of me)

Let's take Naruto Shippuden for example. There are a lot of filler episodes in this anime which you will probably not watch, and when you finish watching it you type 500 out of 500 episodes of course. BUT. Here is the issue. You told MAL that you've watched the whole anime, that you've watched all of shippuden's 500 episodes. It's simply wrong. Even though you haven't watched every single episode of the anime, you must to tell MAL that you have... Therefore, the amount of episodes that you've watched is inaccurate.
My solution is to give us a list of all of the episodes (only the number of each one) of each anime and a check box near every episode. If you checked an episode's check box it means that you HAVE watched this specific episode and MAL will only count how many episodes were checked and then add the sum to the total amount of episodes that you've watched. This way the total amount will be accurate.

Well, it is an option. But it will be a mess. I still think my solution is better. Anyway, thanks.

Won't typing in the number of episodes you have watched be a better alternative?

Better but less effective. Why do you need to count how many episodes you've watched when you can just tell MAL WHICH episodes you've watched and they will do the math...

Or just use your notes (if you go to your settings and then list, you can tick a box for "tags" and use that fill in how many you have watched)

But tags are only notes I type about each anime… It doesn’t have an effect on the amount of episodes I’ve watched of the anime

You know what I'll just create my own anime list app in Python. This way I'll be able to customize the way I want it to be. And of course I'll implement my solution (selecting *which* episodes you've watched) in my app.
