Mirai Minato (Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san director) is credited as chief director and handling the series composition. Machi Yoshino (Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou, Murabito A ni Tensei suru chief animation director) is designing the characters. Kouji Fujimoto (Sus4 Inc.) (Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!) and Osamu Sasaki (Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!) are composing the music. The anime adapts Wakame Konbu's slice of life romantic comedy manga, which originally began on his Twitter and Pixiv in October 2019. Monthly Gangan Joker began serializing the title in January 2020. Square Enix published the fifth volume on February 22. Yen Press licensed the manga in English last January and shipped the second volume on January 25.
