| Twitter cancels basically everything, and usually for very shallow reasons. The only reason I haven't been cancelled yet is because I don't use Twitter. I'd say just ignore it and move on with your day. |

| This is why I stopped watching "Anime News" channels like Hero Hei. Some random Twitter shitlets say some stupid shit and he blows it out of proportion and makes it out as some massive news story and that they "cancelled" something. "GENSHIN ARTIST GETS CANCELLED BY TWITTER USERS" "SPY X FAMILY IS CANCELLED" "THIS ARTIST DESTROYED TWITTER USERS" Same stupid bullshit. It's so fucking annoying. I get it, you gotta oversell for views, but if you're gonna do this at least find something bigger and more interesting than some random, nobody Twitter users complaining about something and will be forgotten in like 5 minutes. |

| Look, I didn't like A Silent Voice that much (Will rewatch it at one point), but even I can easily see that they don't understand the plot of this movie or any of the nuances in it whatsoever. They also don't seem to understand that the MC WAS A CHILD WHEN HE BULLIED HER. Everyone deserves forgiveness and a chance at redemption but that is especially so for a child. No one should hold what a child does against them for the rest of their life until they kill themselves out of misery when the child didn't even know what they did was wrong in a way. It's funny that a lot of people can't see that whatsoever. This movie, a large part of it, is about forgiveness and redemption. It's not that hard to give forgiveness, especially when that person is remorseful for their actions. I'm guessing that none of those idiots on Twitter have ever gotten forgiveness or even tried to gain it. Says a lot about them if they can't understand that. |

| Y'know what. I agree to an extent. A Silent Voice isn't primarily about being deaf, but there are some points in the manga and anime where it seems like Nishimiya is almost blamed for being deaf. Ueno literally telling her that she ruined their lives and then never getting called out for it... Nishimiya absolutely sobbing to Shoyo's mom when he falls into a coma and repeatedly saying "I'm sorry." It's been a very long time since I've read the manga but I'm sure there are more examples. Sometimes it just rubs the wrong way. Anyhow, still probably my favorite anime movie of all time. |
