gintama is more comedy but reborn is much better in my opinion alot of action and better story. gintama has no story line (I watched 201 EP than dropped it) no hate on gintama

maybe after the 200 EP but I didn't see it and even shinapchi said many times that there wasn't a story line in the anime

Gintama is more to comedy,while reborn is an action focused show. Most people would say gintama is better,but I personally like reborn more 'cause I just love action shounen more. Gintama do have some action but just really focused on comedy. It's really depends. What you want? Comedy or action? Decide it yourself.

They are both great shows personally they are both 10/10 but if your looking to relax and just watch episode after episode with good writing and comedy then I would suggest watching Gintama. There was a moment in both these shows where I wanted to skip to the serious part but when I look back I kinda miss those episodes. (Maybe it’s just a me issue)

Browsed through your MAL profile. A lot of new school anime. You need to watch more old school anime to fully enjoy Gintama. Go with Katekyo Hitman Reborn for now, note that it has a slow start, it took 36 episodes to become good.

hitman first few episodes were unbearable but the the rest was great but gintama is much better option to watch it is my favourite anime of all time

Hitman has a horrible ending even if you read the manga after the anime because the anime doesn't fully adapt the series. Almost the first 30 episodes are filler because the author went from making a comedy to a action shonen. Gintama is not only more funny in my opinion but the action you get is better. It's not as common , but it is a high quality and better. The full story after gintama too is way better as a full cohesive story compared to what hitman has to offer in the anime medium and even the manga

Imo hitman reborn. I never watched gintama but i know the comedy is great. But i personally like reborn. The story on the early part might be boring for some people but as you continue watching, the story becomes really great

Hitman Reborn is honestly not even worth watching now, it certainly did not age well.
