Even football players in Japan promote Ao Ashi. From Wikipedia: As of April 2020, the manga had over 4.5 million copies in circulation, including digital versions. As of February 2022, the manga had over 10 million copies in circulation, including digital versions. As of June 2022, the manga had over 12 million copies in circulation. That kind of feats is normal for a manga that target Shonen demographic. Blue Lock is not about football, but its about a super sportman battle royale who happen to have football as its theme. Blue Lock is not a bad series, but when you ask about football manga Ao Ashi is far more popular, even J-League is promoting it showing how popular it is, despite this manga is not a shonen, but seinen. |

| Yeah, I'm quite confident there will be one. As you say it seems to be doing quite well in Japan. Airs on national public broadcaster and has gotten a good boost in manga sales which is something Shogakukan - who is also the head of the show's committee - is really going to like. Also IG seems to rarely pick up manga adaptation without the plans of continuing them (unless you are Kimi ni Todoke, still waiting for season 3 T_T). |

I think next Ao Ashi season would come in 2024 at earliest. For next year the studio is making new Psycho-Pass, new Haikyuu!! season, one children movie and maybe some other project we still don't know about. While technically possible for them to churn out next season in let's say Fall 2023, I doubt they would do that. |

Tsarko said: Yeah, I'm quite confident there will be one. Agree, Production I.G usually ALWAYS make few seasons of sport seroes they adapt from the manga. Also even football player in Japan promote Ao Ashi manga, I read about it. And there is even manga chapters to make the second season already in January or March 2023! There is no way a new season can be made for next January or March. I think next Ao Ashi season would come in 2024 at earliest. For next year the studio is making new Psycho-Pass, new Haikyuu!! season, one children movie and maye some other project we still don't know about. While technically possible for them to churn out next season in let's Fall 2023, I doubt they would do that. I hope for Autumn 2023 too! And 2024 of course! We need this series! kaneki1231_ said: bro to me i need another season for this anime i request production i.g to make another sequel for this anime. even tho this is my first sports anime tbh We all want this! |

| They definitely have to. I don't personally play football but this makes me want to play and get good at it. Like Ashito's journey is crazy, and I want to know where they'll take it and how good can he become. |

| If we use Haikyuu! as a baseline: First Season: Apr-Sep 2014 2nd Season Announcement: Dec 2014 2nd Season: Oct 2015-Mar 2016 That's about the quickest we can hope for. Hopefully we get an announcement for the 2nd season around New Year's. The material for Aoashi's season 2 (probably vol. 12-20 ish) is amazing. |

Yes, you are right! 302 chapters are released as of now, and the series ended on 79th chapter at the episode 18. |

| The manga is really good so I believe there is gonna be another season. They are likely gonna end this season off with Ashito getting to team A and then the next season will be his team A season |

| At first I thought this season will catch up to the match against Seiren High, which is like 90% of the manga progress. But now, we only have 6 episodes left, and they're just at the Musashino match. So I guess this season will end just around when Aoi gets promoted to team A, leaving a lot of source materials to be adapted into anime for another 12 episodes or so. So it's possible. |

If it's a 12-episode season for the second season, they can adapt it right away. But if it's another 24-episode season, they will likely have to wait for the manga chapters to come out more, like 2-3 years. IMO, second season with 12ep can go as far as the end of the youth league, while the third season can be about Aoi playing in J-League. |

No, as I wrote before, there is 302 manga chapters released, no need to wait for them to make 24 episodes next season. |
