And i'm sorry for Haikyuu fans, but I guess 2 movies are easier / lighter to produce than whole seasons of 20+ episodes?
Wouldn't say Haikyuu!!'s films announcement will impact hypothetical 2nd season of Ao Ashi. The two titles have almost no staff overlap and are made by separate production lines/substudios within IG. Ao Ashi is made by substudio lead by Rui Kuroki whose last projects were 2nd Fate/Grand Order Camelot movie and Fena The Pirate Princess, while Haikyuu!! is made by substudio lead by Keiko Matsushita whose last projects were Haikyuu!! To the Top and Deer King film. That said I still wouldn't expect another Ao Ashi season before 2024, I assume its production line already has some other (unannounced) project planned for next year. Well, its also possible that next project is Ao Ashi season 2 and they start making it immediately after this one finishes, then I could see it coming out late next year.
As for Haikyuu!!'s sequel being two Final films, that has more to do with TOHO's cynical decision to capitalize on current anime franchise movie boom than with anything else.

I see. Thanks for the explanation. I suppose the 'late next year' is the best / quickest possible scenario, huh.
