| I hope it is but it might be difficult because of blue lock, which everyone is hyping to become the successor to haikyuu. So IG might decide to not pull the trigger on more for a while if they think blue lock is gonna be so popular that it would completely overshadow Ao. Hopefully not though and we can get both running for multiple seasons. |

Anime too is amazing!! As of April 2020, the manga had over 4.5 million copies in circulation, including digital versions. As of February 2022, the manga had over 10 million copies in circulation, including digital versions. The manga was nominated for the 10th Manga Taisho awards in 2017, and was ranked 4th. In 2020, along with Kaguya-sama: Love is War, the manga won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award for the general category. From Wikipedia. MnMm07 said: We_Ka said: If it sells well it could be. | Yeah the manga is very good(better then blue lock) and quite popular too so maybe there will be multiple seasons. The rating after ep 1 was around 7.2 but now it is 7.88 I think many people are enjoying it too. |

So IG might decide to not pull the trigger on more for a while if they think blue lock is gonna be so popular that it would completely overshadow Ao. Hopefully not though and we can get both running for multiple seasons. Three things. 1.) Production IG is not like other studios that drops sports animes. Production IG is not basing the second season of sports series from popularity. They prioritizes quality over popularity. Production IG bases next seasons on how much manga material there is in a series. And Ao ashi has a lot of material left and the manga is still far from finished/still has a long way to go. The manga sales is also high and successful so we will have a second season Im confident about it. 2.) Don't get the wrong idea here. Blue Lock is popular yes, but Ao Ashi is highly popular too here in west specially in Japan. And I mean very popular that even japan national football players are promoting it. It got collaborations with J-League too until now. You know why? Because Ao Ashi represents football seriously. Japanese football specially. It also sold 10 million copies without the anime and now it has 12 million copies. Mind you, there's no English release of Ao Ashi in US yet and many other countries. Imagine the sale boost if the circulation became wider in the future that I'm sure will happen we just wait. 3.) "Blue lock will overshadow Ao Ashi" Overshadowed in what??? Attention? Popularity? Who cares about that? Popularity is not always equal to quality anyway. And yes, we need more seasons. But I think we will have Haikyuu season 5 before season 2 of Ao Ashi. |

| It's not bad. It just has slow pacing, or... rather say that it's so detailed in building up the plots and the protagonist. Most manga readers already know the anime's gonna be this boring, at lease half of the first season's gonna be like that. |

I already know about production I.G. , and that they have a good track record w continuing anime - I never said they wouldn't.. I just said they might not pull the trigger again for a while because of another anime that might potentially dominate the space, with the hype it is getting. You can say all about this stuff about their good morals etc etc.. but that's not how studio's work. There has been an untold number of times where studios delay or drop projects because the anime is not drawing the attention it needs - for really stupid profit reasons, in terms of not getting the views they want, or increasing manga sales to what they want it to be. And unfortunately nowadays - a lot of studios solely focus on a profit basis.. else we would get a lot of anime seasons quicker. If Blue lock dominates the space that badly and takes all the attention etc off of Ao Ashi, I'm telling you.. we won't get another season for a while. Why would they push out something, just for it to get dominated and 0 hype - literally doesn't make sense from a studio and manga sales standpoint - and is not normally done unless the product is really big/stand alone in its category.. and like I said - with Blue lock coming, it's not gonna be alone for long lol. I love Ao Ashi and could easily see it being equal to Blue lock in terms of the next big sports series - but I'm just talking on what I see the community say about it. But hey, if you are right on the Ao Ashi being so popular in the west and Japan thing - then the studio might just defy logic and continue to push it out annually anyway, like it's happened before. We'll see very soon. You just reminded me to catch up on haikyuu also lol - thanks. |

| I'm wondering how far this season will catch up to the manga? If it's not covering up to the last match against Aomori, it's probably going to make a lot of anime-only watchers to lose interest. They should at least cover all the way to that match, and end it with Garulla calls him up. |

| There's another manga that is similar to Ao Ashi (in term of settings), it's called Yatagarasu. It's a story about Japan's youth football system, and it's already finished so you can read it to the end. I recommend it to everyone who likes Ao Ashi. https://myanimelist.net/manga/14577/Yatagarasu |

They are different series with different target demographics from their respective publishers. Different studios as well. No need to care about who's overshadowing who. If a series is successful enough, they will continue it. We don't know what counts as 'successful enough' for the producers, though. |

| The possibility of having multiple seasons is low judging from the fact that not many sports anime ever get adapted completely. I hope this will be one of the few exceptions since I'm really enjoying the anime. Production I.G is a big studio so we definitely won't be getting a second season any time soon. Also, Madhouse please give me more Ace of the Diamond. |

I think an anime like Blue lock has a better chance of being completely adapted because 8bit is not as popular as I.G which means there is a better chance to get a second season than Ao ashi. Imoxus said: I hope it is but it might be difficult because of blue lock, which everyone is hyping to become the successor to haikyuu. |

| I am sure for multiple seasons of Ao Ashi, if not this year, but next for sure. It is extremely popular in Japan, manga sells like hot cakes. As for Blue Lock I hope for few seasons too, but is is not as popular in Japan as Ao Ashi, although manga sells pretty good. Let's see what will happen and pray for the best! |

I don't think it's been bad in fact I think it's been really good so far but then again I'm not exactly a sports anime watcher and this is my first attempt at the genre but idk man so far it's been pretty damn good. Also your take is invalid because you rated MHA a 10 |
