Do you guys think that this show has the potential to be one of production IGs best series?

Probably no
If we want to consider it as the best of production ig then it's definitely not
The animation is so average comparing to their works and as for the story and the characters, well it isn't that special either (as of now)
Still early to judge anyway
But the sure thing is that the animation is a big disappointment since it doesn't have any sakuga scenes

I agree. The show is pretty mid so far, though i can see the characters developing and the story getting better.

I really like it. Unfortunately, there are not many football anime anyway. I think it may be the best anime after Captain Tsubasa.

It's Production IG I have complete trust that the show will be great I mean look at the track record they have Haikuu, Ace of Diamond, Kuroko no Basket, Run With the Wind, and Welcome to the Ballroom all are really good have great moments and character development and each one has made me cry with happiness my comfort Anime is (Ace of Diamond) this show has the best story for a anime I've seen and it's written so well, so yes I think it has potential to be very good the anime is still in its early episodes but I think once we start getting actual matches the we can expect to see the Animation to get better I have faith In Production IG's good Animation and body movements

I'm kinda over having stupid, dense MCs. It's just annoying to watch Aoi and everything he does takes away from the enjoyment. I like everything else about the show. I'm not too picky about animation/art because not every studio is given the same budget as ufotable to make visually stunning shows like Demon Slayer. It has potential but if Aoi spends all 12 episodes acting the same, the score is getting lowered.

I'm a manga reader, let me tell you smt, this series is basically autobiography of Aoi Ashito, the journey of him becoming both better player and better human.

If you want some unrealistic crazy 180⁰ changes in one night like Canute from VS S1, Shu from Guilty Crown, etc, then this is just simply not what you're looking for. This is the story of maturity, slow and steady development without throwing away your identity. Aoi will develop into matured Aoi, not completely different person.

Idk how much eps eps you've watch,, but tbh even the earlier content already showed his growth. Compare how he was portrayed in eps 1 to what he is now, there's already a lot of changes in him

1. He lower his "must score" selfish ego for his team on eps 2
2. He doesn't automatically resolve violence on Akutsu when he talks bad about his family on ep 3
3. He thought about football seriously, and he made a vow to be professional wether he pass the test or not on ep 4. This is his resolve.
4. He showed again his final resolve on the train, and the showed us how much weight he bear now knowing his family and economic background on ep 5
5. Before, he'll be the most energetic one before playing football, but on ep 6, instead of being wreckless and being over energetic on the field, Aoi find a some time for himself alone just to focus, because rn it's not just about fun, but about his future and family as well.
6. On ep 7, we see how point 1 and 5 conflicted. He acknowledged that he's being selfish and egoist, but rn he thought he had to do that for fis future and family. This showed that he's still a teenager, not a completely developed mature. But we all know it'll just keep getting better from here. Even next eps will showed us again how much he had changed.

Spoiler for next ep (ep8)

Some more spoiler for near future, if you want these to put you on ease

Man, it kinda funny how Ao Ashi is literally an antithesis of Blue Lock lol
I love this anime..

but animation IG work still better than animation football anime before like DAYS, captain tsubasa remake

Well I didn't watch any other football anime so maybe you're right, the animation isn't bad here I know that, but compared to haikyu and kuroku no basket which have very high sakuga scenes, it's a big disappointment

IG Section which made Kuroko is working on the Legend of the Galactic Heroes Die Neue These. Though of course there are people on Ao Ashi who have contributed to Kuroko throughout its run, even animation producer is the same, but the key staff is different.

Yes but animation producer can hire them when they free. Predict some of them in Kuroko main team will draw key animation in ep 10 -> 12
