Whatever happened to piccolos giant form?

He brought it out once and never again. Did Akira forget about it or something? Unlike Goku and Vegeta who don't have their tails so they can't transform, piccolo could do it whenever he wants but he never does?

It's like Oozaru. He can do it, but it won't enhance his abilites much. His current form has way greater power than his giant form, so there's just no point.

Piccolo has not forgotten. He did not use it, because this technique is useless.
Well, he uses it against Raditz or Nappa or Cell. What's next?
Piccolo just thinks with his head and understands that it makes no sense to use it.

he's not as strong as most of his enemies(the main ones) so using it would just make him a bigger target for them

He doesn't gain any power from it. Goku exposed it as a gimmick in the last tournament of Dragon Ball

Giant form was mostly a bluff tactic,the power increase isn't that good and it made him slower just like the bulky Sayin form Trunks (although his power increase was much better) if the enemy doesn't fall for it or get worried by it then it's useless.

The huge form is useless and his is very strong enough in his current form. It wouldn't make sense to fight the Saiyans with his huge form. He would have died way sooner.
The giant form doesn't actually increase much power. It is just to scare the opponent.
