| There's no defining moment imo where it clearly "gets good"; it's more like a crescendo that slowly builds up to its beautiful ending. I actually thought Part 1 was boring, but now I want to go and re-watch it with a newfound appreciation after finishing Part 2. But if you want my advice, if you really see it as comparable to darling in the franxx, I'm just going wager that this is not exactly the anime for you my friend- as probably what is the case for nearly everyone else in this thread. I was a borderline 86 hater (the nonsense-type of hater who calls things "overhyped") before as well, but Part 2 actually made me want to get into the light novels. Actually, if you didn't HATE Part 1 and just thought it was OKAY (which was what I thought), I'd say give Part 2 a chance. Maybe you'll find a hidden gem for yourself as I did. |

| Came in thinking it was a political show, surprised by generic designs, generic characters, shallow plot, interactions that are synonym with anime, that make me ashamed of being a fan of anime in general, really good 3D models though. |
