Sakamoto is very exaggerated. It's simply not possible to be as cool as him.

If you want to be cool in general social setting, you need to work out, make yourself look as good as possible, have a culture as diverse as can be and have an (or a few) active hobby(ies).

Then there's a few social cues that you need to have in public, like being able to hold a conversation, not let small mistakes get to you, be approachable, knowing when and how to show certain emotions like anger or sadness, train yourself to naturally smile and probably a lot more minor things that I can't remember now.

It's a lot of work but everyone can be cool if they make the needed effort.

being confident helps out a lot, but it is impossible to be like him

I'm happy Sakamoto exists at least as a fictional character

He is a good ideal to stride towards

I think what makes Sakamoto cool is that he does what he wants to do and is confident doing it. He is also never a nuisance to anyone and helps people out without ever considering any sort of reward or favour in return. He tries his best at things. He never does something half-heartedly just because he may not be overly interested.

These are some of the things that make Sakamoto cool in my opinion. Whilst it’s impossible to be as cool as Sakamoto, I think it’s still best we all aspire to be.

Being Confident, being 100% in everything, be it silly or serious, even it look cringe to you, as long as you confident, somehow it became cool.

+ from personal experience, don't look down too much, walk straight. That's actually help a lot.

If you have to think about it, you're already falling short.

Sakamoto is so cool it's effortless.

Its almost impossible but I guess you can try by minding your own business and being confident in what you do.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

In complete honesty, wanting to be cool is the easiest way to not be cool. The lamest people I've ever met were all trying way too hard to be cool. I had a friend (not my friend anymore) who pretended to have GERD, be able to lift 400 lbs, be insane at fighting, and have a harem. The cringe he produced made me and almost everyone else laugh at his antics. He was solidly one of the lamest humans alive. The moral of the story is if you take cool too far you become cringe, and lamer than anybody who doesn't try to be cool.
