I have a big doubt about Sakurako flashback :O

Please someone help me, I'm very intrigued.
I don't know if I misunderstood. Spoiler alert: when Mio tells Sakurako "you don't get it" and she has a flashback to when she was Shun's classmate. It's snowing and Shun looks at the gym class, is that Mio he sees? This scene implies that Shun has a crush on him since school and has known him since then...

But at the beginning of the movie it is explained that he knows Mio until he sees him sitting on the bench, right?

I have not read the manga nor do I know the story previously. I only saw the movie and have replayed the scene over and over to try to understand.

Please someone explain this to me, is it a mistake? Or did I misunderstand? Is it Mio in the gym class flashback or is it another character that looks a lot like him?

That’s a different person that he sees in the Gym, its not Mio

nah, it's not him, that guy is like a reason why Shun had a reservation for loving Mio in the first place when he returned like why he sort of pushed him away that time when he came back.

Yeah, I think that's the guy he's referring to when he later says he "fell in love with his friend and ended up being teased"

same as what everyone else said ! although, i'm kept up with the manga and shun has this flashback in it with a guy that looks really similar. i think in the flashback he had a crush on the guy and the guy came up and asked him either if he was gay or told him that he wasn't into men and shun ended up passing out and the guy took him to the nurse. i feel like that guy in the gym could represent that guy he had a crush on in the manga though ! that's mostly just an assumption i've made so there's no confirmation for it, but i thought it was cool if that was really the case ! there are some parts in the movie that arn't explained super well and get confusing, and i thought the same thing when i watched it the first time so you're not the only one lol
