I legit was about to say, "How tf is Kimi no Na wa a romance series?" when there's barely any of those centered though it's more of a sub-genre I guess.

I don’t think it’s the best but personally I enjoyed Lovely Complex ⭐️ a nice and sweet romantic comedy.

Chuunibyou and Toradora are my favorites. Although it could be argued that Clannad is a romance, but I don't think it's the sole focus like the previous two I mentioned.

oregairu, tonikaku, science fell in love and i tried to prove it, if you don’t mind fan service dress up darling is graphically stunning, horimiya, the genre i watch the most is romance so i’d like to think i have good recommendations but to each their own

i hated anthem of the hearts ending, it felt like you just got robbed out of 2 hours of your life just for the worst and most bothering ending

I’ve been watching a lot of slice of Life and Romcom lately and a lot of these made my top 5. Romance/Drama I’d go Clannad, Fruits Basket, Ao Haru Ride, Domestic na Kanojo. If we’re talking more romcom Horimiya, Tonikaku Kawaii, Wotaku ni Koi. Dressup Darling.

Fruits Basket is clearly the best romcom of all time for me, the way the story progresses with a proper relationship development was something I really loved to watch.........

Meanwhile Kaguya Sama would be runner up for me for the best romcom of all time because the romance element hasn't been consistent but still the comedy makes it one of the best

And I am currently watching Oregairu which by any means have the same potential

(PS- I didn't include Your Lie in April and Anohana because they are like have more drama than the romcom material)

I recently watched Wotakoi and ReLife and both of them deal with romance in a more adult environment or way which was a refreshing change, I’d recommend both of those as well.

Those are some of my favourite if anyone wants recommendations. All of them are fairly wholesome and get your heart racing or are very funny.

the best rom-com is either love is war or horimiya I honestly can't decide love them both though I'd say love is war is more on the comedy side and horimiya focouses more on the actual romance

Literally spot-on. Although I also really enjoyed RDNDBGS. Can't wait for S3 of Kaguya-Sama!

Probably Toradora. It's just a fun show all around and I'm a huge sucker for tsunderes.

My other faves are Chobits, Acchi Kocchi and Sakura-sou ni Pet na Kanojo. They're all great.

its a draw between horimiya and oregairu season 3. oregairu season 3 has the most realistic characters than any other romcom anime...... horimiya is the most wholesome......

For me, I think its Toradora. its just felt warm to watch. the story builds up, the longer you are hook to it.

it follows the beats of every romance story

- man and woman can't stand each other

- the two characters are forced into a situation where they must stick together and work things out despite their differences

- they begin to like each other

- they are forced into a situation where they must be separated from each other (or they fight)

- (big climax where they fight "something" to be with each other again)

Think about any typical romance story and I guarantee it will follow this pattern

Best romance of all time is definitely Clannad. The comedy is very good and had me dying laughing sometimes. I live all the characters. The story was great. And ending was good. Overall 10/10 and definitely best romance
