What a fantastic ending! It ends just so perfectly, it's insane! I knew that Bojji wouldn't want to sit on the throne for a long time and it was just a matter of time before he gave it back to Daida, but i definitely wasn't expecting for him to go and create his own kingdom lmao

But this was such a fantastic show man, the characters, the art, the build-up, the ending where everyone's plot is closed. Miranjo getting back was a great scene to have.

On the other hand, now for sure, there's gotta be a 2S, and we still have to find a lot more about that Demon, since Miranjo met him before, so i bet he'll be the boss of the next season.

These 23 episodes were so clean, it would be great to have a 2nd season but honestly, this part is good as it is, it has a lot of everything, especially and ending lol, so if we get a 2S to see that demon getting defeat, that would be good.

So wtf does this series have to do with the "Ranking of Kings"
Man the name and the opening was so misleading. They could change the name and removed the whole ranking of kings entirely and we would've had the exact same story.

It's like the included tidbits just to justify the cool name that they wanted to use

If we ignore the "I'm going to marry you Miranjo" just after all that she has done , This show is S tier for sure, Hope we get a Season 2.

Bojji taking over a kingdom was awesome, but for him to realize that making his own is more chad is just the greatest thing ever. And damn I almost teared up thrice in this episode. just so many emotions at one time. Idk wtf to think anymore... But damn damn damn imma miss this so much but the ending was so satisfying.

wait thats it? I can see now why the ending spiked some discussion..

Imo Miranjo shouldnt have been revived, she is still bound to the demon, just later.

Overall fine show, strong 7 but also too drawn out for an 8 in the second half.

Goddammit Hilling's titties are AMAZING!!!!!!

Daida's got no chill. Went right away to snatch those Miranjo hips. Can't blame him, she's fine to the bone. Repentance is always an assured defining change of character in fiction, especially when gaining some F-I-N-E coochie.

Bojji was okay.

It finally came to an end. Definitely gonna miss Bojji and Kage.

It was quite predictable that Kage would have the thought that he's not needed anymore but it's pretty typical so I'll let it slide.

In my opinion I think Bojji traveling with Kage suits him more than sitting on the throne doing those paper works of a King.

It was so heartwarming to see Hiling encourage Bojji. She truly is the best Mom.

But the only thing that I didn't get was that captain beheading and throwing Ouken's head like that. Did it really kill Ouken? Weren't they planning to turn Ouken back into a human...?

The ending was beautiful. Really happy to see Bojji and Kage smiling like that.

Overall 8/10.
I would've given it a 9 but the Miranjo arc kinda decreased the fun for me.

One of the hardest anime to rate. The first half or so was like 9.5. Then, although I do understand that flashbacks and backstories have been planned out that way, it became difficult to follow. Honestly, the rationale behind Kage abandoning Bojji is totally lame. Underwhelming final episode.
Still enjoyed it and looking forward to S2. 8/10.

very emotional ending, more of a fairy tale style story than one from an anime. A lot of roller-coaster events and characters switching sides. Was a good watch nonetheless.

a very satisfying final episode. The art direction and ost in this was insane.

the mangaka is not the best story writer. He set up a really beautiful premise but the writing fell apart quite fast unfortunately. Some of the plot-lines, mainly Bosse and Miranjo's story were incredibly flat and not engaging whatsoever. At no point felt I any emotional attachment towards any of these characters. The writing often times felt very very childish. I be seeing people calling this show a masterpiece, and I'm like "where?" The writing is very very surface level at times. The show had some cool characters like Bojji, Kage, Despa or Daida, but they weren't in the focus for a large margin of this season. The 2nd cour was basically only about Bosse and Miranjo. Sure we had our characters with us but the story revolved around Miranjo. The show lost an insane amount of momentum when they completed Despa's training. We spend a fk ton of episodes on arriving at the castle and then fighting Ouken. I can't say that the momentum or the attachment ever really picked up again (until this final episode)

of course not every episode in the 2nd cour was a miss, but a lot of the episodes were mostly carried by its incredible production. Wit did a phenomenal job with this adaptation, I don't think it could have been better. Some episodes like Bojji vs Ouken or Bojji vs Bosse were absolutely breathtaking.

The first ED and the second OP are quite literally masterpieces. I'll be listening to them for years.

this started out as an easy 9/10 but fumbled down to a 6.8. I might give this a final rating of 7 or 6 depending on how I feel.

Yup.

Shit went from a 9 to a 7 in no time.

It turned into an absolute mess after Bosse decided to heal everyone out of nowhere, only to fight them (Bojji) immediately afterwards.

The ending of Ouken’s arc (if you can even call it that), with his head randomly being thrown into a lake, was unnecessary as hell.

Kage leaving Bojji only to rejoice with him in the spawn of 10 minutes.

Miranjo killed Bojji’s mother. I’m not going to sympathize with her so easily.

Daida making the decision to marry her? He only knew her wounded child version, what the fuck was up with that? Am I watching a Disney movie?

The animation honestly saved this from being a 6, but even that final fight didn’t make sense from a logical point of view.

This anime went from something quite promising to a big disappointment for me. Seeing Bojjji go on his journey to improve and prove himself was something I enjoyed seeing and I loved the personal moments between him and with Kage and Hiling especially. Her remembering her times with Bojji was something that had me tearing up not going to lie. Her character went from something like Cinderella's wicked stepmother to someone who was only looking out for Bojji in an overprotective manner and was a nice reveal for me.

Unfortunately this reveal was repeated over and over and over and over and over. Nearly every character is introduced as an opponent or even a foe and quickly is shown to simply be misunderstood and is a great guy after all. Very repetitive and it gets to the point of absurdity. Gets all the way to Miranjo and the way everyone simply forgives her (and Daida wants to marry her!) is simply an eye rolling event. Her and Bosse just are contradictory figures who do at the very least questionable things and then nevermind, helps out Bojji now. Domas actually tried to kill the kid! Miranjo did kill his mother! Then there's Ouken, wonder how many people that guy killed in the town but of course "saving" him is what is important, the deaths of others are irrelevant. Pfft.

This show clearly wants to reform everyone and have sparkles and rainbows and smiles but this is simply unreasonable and I could not take it seriously at all. The Bojji/Kage/Hiling trio when interacting is the only part of this show I can really say I enjoyed unfortunately.

6/10, overrated.

the marriage thing made no sense, and sadly it wasn't the only thing, most of the second half is filled with so much incongruence that the only way to like it it's to shut off your brain, a shame because this anime could have been so much more.

i guess Wit will move now on the best new big thing and forget this show ever existed.

Agreed. For me it started to feel like a dysfunctional shounen with lots of brutality that meant nothing at all. Bojji did nothing impressive at all and was just the same throughout the series.

It wasn't terrible by any means since i finished it, but it was by no means good either. I mostly finished it since the first half was so good.

I guess people are fucked or they simply have no common sense, I m seeing lots of people complaining and bitching but the conclusion I've from them is a practical example of sheep mentality, they don't really have their own opinion so they're just riding on someone else's back for recognition and for the sake of sounding a bit smart,

Anyway I think this was an amazing show, way above average, till the end, I didn't particularly find any character bad, my boi bojji is precious and he deserves all the happiness in the world, I would be glad if it gets a second season in couple if years

It had some good parts but there is not much to this show contrary to the high ratings. It just felt disappointing halfway through the series. Honestly, the whole driving point of this show is to have the audience feel emotional and empathetic towards the main characters and that's about it.

However, the character relationships especially between Bojji and Kage were heartwarming to watch. I also liked how episodes showed backstories of the characters. The art and animation compliments the general theme of the show quite well.

The main problem with this show is that there was not much of an exploration and adventure with new characters and settings. Instead the real adventure starts in the end. Like what's the point? I thought he wanted to become the king but instead he relinquishes his claim to throne so easily that it felt like the whole thing didn't mean anything to him other than an obligation.

Then there is the whole normalizing and forgiving the actions of the antagonists. Daida, Bosse, Domas and especially Miranjo were all driven by their selfishness and caused nothing but chaos for others. Yet towards the ends they are all exempt from any blame and repentance with a simple apology. There was no justice or karma or any sense of satisfaction of seeing them reap what they sow. But then again the show doesn't like complicated topics because there is no crying involved.

I am so glad this is over. Aside from the first two episodes which were great and every effective at reeling me in...everything else was terrible. Just... absolutely, horrendously bad.

I've never seen such a gratuitous anime. Gratuitous blood, gratuitous tears, gratuitous flashbacks. And the way it focuses so much attention on inconsequential details and side characters feels like it's intentionally wasting my time. It should have been 12 episodes. There is not enough of merit here to fill 23 episodes.

All of the important characters must suffer from schizophrenia, changing their entire personality at the drop of a hat. They're good then they're bad and then they're good again. And that ending....good grief not only was it the worst ending ever, it just went on and on way past the point when it actually should have ended. All to set up a potential sequel which I will definitely not watch.

I hated this fucking show. Why is it so highly rated? No way does it deserve anything higher than a 6. But it's getting a 3/10 from me.

I cried pretty much every episode. My god I lost so much water. I kept telling myself, "No don't give the villains backstory too! I can't handle it!" Lol

The most saddest thing about the ending is how some people think they could have written a better story. There's so many lessons to learn from this treasure. What a memorable work for many years to come.

Also Ouken got stuffed lol What a boss. Lmao

So many things untouched and side arcs ending on cliffhangers. I'm assuming it's a set up for a season 2.

I was gonna rate this highly with the amazing music, art style, fairy tail esque aesthetic, animation. It just started off so well but then during some arcs it slagged, thinking overall the story is extremely simple, the miranjo forgiveness and being married off (ugh), Boji finally getting the crown and the happiness he deserved for him to give it up. I'm actually ok with that last part since the core focus seemed to be on him and Kage's journey, but it was such a short duration for like a soft reboot on the adventure to start again.

Loved the series, just towards the end it was going a lil downhill. It's not a bad steep downhill but just a drop.

Also Hilling while a lil snooty was top tier!

Finally! Others who agree! I've only seen 2 in my last comment and I was hyped, now on page 4 there are ACTUALLY people who are voicing their opinion that the second half sucked, i did like episodes 5-10 more than the rest - til like eps 15ish with his short plot of actually growing stronger which then turned into a bunch of random OP moments with no backstory or explanation that just totally ruined it... deff 3-5 outta 10 for me, i find it hard to judge but i think thats part of the sad story pulling on your heartstrings, which i feel after watching such a pointless ending, was really just a way to make everyone feel bad about rating it any lower, cuz its soooo sadddd and all that, but really its just ruse/cover up for all the shitty plotholes left n right....

Like part of me wants to like it for some of the things it seems to be setting up in the beginning, but they legit trashed that anime and just threw the whole thing away with all the healing and villains being forgiven, legit made no sense
