For me though, I don’t see Dress Up as a show that glorifies it, i majorly see it as being purely wholesome. But with the best girl argument now… If u look at anitrendz on Instagram If u have it, Anything my dress up has been up there at #1 for 7 weeks now. Literally.

Coz the political aspect of the show is really enjoyable...I started the show thinking it'll be some regular fantasy shit but it turned out to be really good, balancing politics and comedy perfectly. Pretty underhyped I'd say. There aren't many fantasy stories which made me wanna read the LN.

As much as I love Akebi, Marin's character was created with the sole purpose of becoming best girl so it was already a lost battle from the get go. Marin is the ultimate wet dream for weebs after all.

It's literally just because the idea of Dress-up Darling is alot more appealing and/or interesting than Akebi-chan. Alot of people will get bored of Akebi-chan, especially if they aren't into slice of life

i disagree with you. but to each their own. to me genius prince is so damn boring that i get drowzy when i watch new episodes maybe it’s just me but politics is soooo boring to me. i literaly thought this was gonna be a comedy show but no this has been about politics since the start the comedy tag is very misleading. kinda regretting that i didn’t pick up realist hero part 2 instead this season.
