I let out a big suffering sigh from this episode. The frustration...What I learned from anime is, if it's killing just citizens, causing destruction, slicing limbs, massive mayhem, potentially killing some of the characters we like BUT end up with no relevant character's death, all is forgiven. I'm not even mad that Miranjo was saved, she could be an assistance in rebuilding the country and possibly politics. Rather, it's the way they went around with it. I could tell Daida had some affection towards Miranjo from the flashback but let's not speak of marriage when she haven't atoned for shit. He could have said he wanted to marry her ten years later and I would have been fine with it just not the minute all her BS ended. It's like Daida had amnesia just because Bojj saved his ass. If Bojj wasn't there, he would have been trapped or even lost his body to his father. If soldiers weren't there, his mom would have lost her life. She killed his brother's mom, she tricked him into almost dying that not even his father knew if he could be "saved", and so much more. The lion, the witch, the audacity of this writer. Stop this type of bad writing, it ruins everything ffs.

But you know what annoys me more? Is this wish was taken away from Prince Ouken (cuz he one of the best character for me) which in turn, will be King Desha demise as well. This King's ranking 1st place Treasure Vault is SHADY. Didn't they say before that you lose something from whatever treasure inside? Even the guy who was making these ranking had a shady look on his face (One of the kings in episode 4 was probably a victim of this ranking as well. That's my theory.) He literally want strong people to fall into ruin and I bet you the next arc probably is about Desha maybe destroying his kingdom all because Miranjo had to be saved. I don't give a f** if she have a sad past, she had 20+ years to spend her life in actual HAPPINESS and NO SUFFERING with King Bosse yet she chose to bring suffering. This a joke.

Ok I'm pretty sure Daida and Boji are maybe preteen or teenagers. Miranjo looks like she died her in late teens maybe adulthood. But her mind has been alive this whole time making her way way older. BUT if a big ass giant can somehow make a child with a regular sized human and this is medieval times where age didn't matter as much. FINE WHATEVER they can do what they want with that.

Putting that aside, if I'm getting the message right. Miranjo is the source of support, guidance, and power of someone believing in them for Daida and Apeas. And Daida especially it was portrayed he was sorta lonely and jealous that Hilling give Boji alot of extra attention, so her being there helped with that as well. Though even with the sob story of Miranjo, she's still like a mega killer mastermind of suffering still?? Even if she was the source of all that support for them it was sorta shrouded in her selfishness and trickery and she literally had Daida's body taken away.

BASICALLY marrying her seems to be misplaced feelings and confusing them with something else and definitely a stupid choice mixed with undeserving redemption for her.

I also found the whole Daida and Miranjo thing kind of weird. Felt a little unnecessary in my opinion. Also, I thought we would learn more about the demon, it seemed like an important part so I was expecting more scenes. I found that character more interesting than Bosse honestly.

Anyway, I hope they solve things for Ouken, he seemed really nice and I'm rooting for him. Hope nothing bad happens to Desha.

Daida and Miranjo.. nah that's not it. Hoping that the marriage is just a formality to get Miranjo excused of her crime, otherwise it just feels weird.

I-
Ouken deserved better. Wtf-
When Miranjo was revived, I was hoping Daida wouldn't ask her to marry him but he did. The way it played out, I was almost sure he was going to ask her to marry him but I was REALLY hoping he wouldn't. BRUH.

Also, now Desha is the number 1 King. I hope nothing happens to him.

I just noticed that the title-giving "ousama ranking" basically meant nothing so far in the story overall. Also Daidra... stockholm syndrome much?

Miranjo's cimes are so casually excused. This is certain part of fiction where I don't like this concept of forgiveness.

King Bosse was a utter selfish man who risked his family, i think risk will not he enough to describe what has he done to his royal family for his own sake.

These people were so kind that definitely in future season it's gonna haunt them back.

Desha not agreeing to become number 1 and then accepting it after hearing the news from Despa is the most intriguing part of this entire cour. Not expecting this to follow much on the "ranking expect" but much better than rest of the episode.

The first time I vote 5/5 for this second half and the poll is actually split. I guess I'm going to be taking up all of the unpopular takes, as I actually feel that Miranjo's salvation was the strongest part of this arc. Rather than a mastermind or schemer, she's portrayed as a pitiable child who became warped in her desperation to fulfill her dearest's wishes. I like that Miranjo is shown grace here because it's an unearned chance to change for the better. At this point, punishing her doesn't really serve a purpose in righting wrongs. And of course, no one actually died so we're all good on that front too!

Daida making smooth moves was actually quite charming. Though announcing his marriage felt less like a proposal and more like a decree. I know I said I wanted him to go Joffrey Baratheon in the earlier episodes, but let's not get too carried away here.

you'd think that the main lesson everyone carried out of this situation is that making a deal with the devil is a horrible idea and simply should not be done, ever. the way despa jumped on the opportunity to make a deal just seems so out of character, like, c'mon, dude, you should know better. daida's still a kid, but he also knows the entire (? i think?) story so he should also plainly see that this is a good idea. also, why didn't the demon immediately state the price daida has to pay for a whole resurrection? will there be a price to pay at all? i know that there's one more episode left, but the fact that this wasn't established right here and now is a bad idea imo.

also, the marriage... maybe it's on me, but i straight up thought daida was a ~13 year old kid because he has that childish princeling thing going on (and he's also super short). i guess that's not the case?? i....... desperately hope?.... that's not the case?.. in this very episode, at around 19:20, hiling has a flashback of holding her two children in her arms and they both look like three year olds. just how long ago was this? what the hell is everyone's age? does it even matter, considering miranjo has been, uhh, literally grooming him to be a sacrifice for her evil plans for years before the start of the show? he was a kid/preteen and she was in the mirror constantly hyping him up and telling him how cool and great he is, and now he seems desperately attached to her despite the insurmountable amount of hurt she had caused him. this all just looks so painfully unhealthy. i like both miranjo and daida a lot, but this was not the right move for their stories imo. and let's not even get into how she was in love with his dad for years and has interacted with bosse while he was in daida's body which is pretty uncomfortable to think about.

overall, i thought the resolution to bosse's story was quite alright, but miranjo's could use some work. i would be satisfied with a tragic ending, and i am satisfied with a happy one, but the marriage was very poorly thought through.

Terrible writing.

The marriage proposal was ridiculous.
Age-gap aside, this was someone who you had seen commit so many injustices against innocents for selfish reasons, including making your own brother the incompetent he is, and you chose to overlook all of that.

I've seen the argument that Daida can relate to Miranjo because he had similar feelings, but that stance is only valid when you ignore the fact that he was extremely strongly influenced by Miranjo herself. In other words, his entire personality was moulded by and guided along by this person who couldn't understand when to leave shit alone. She actively interfered and undermined Hilling's parenting, and Daida never got the upbringing he should have had.

The series' aesop is that nothing you do has any consequences as long as someone has ever wronged you in the past. This is worse than Pain resurrecting Konoha sans Jiraiya.

"A king must make decisions." Yeah, especially lousy ones, it seems. Way to follow your dad's footsteps by falling in love with his ex.

He saves her and they weep. They then traveled the world. She changed his dream. He wants to be pushed to his limits. He lost. She has history with him. He was granted the strength of his unborn child. The demon remains. The prince revives the killer. He allows him to betray him again. He does a little prank and disappears. Why did he do that? What? What an absurd thing to do. He only knows the mirror murderer manipulator and child version of this killer. The pain she endured does not excuse the pain she brought to others. For some reason, everyone is forgiving her? Why? She currently does not deserve that at all. Mer minutes ago she was attempting to bring the end of a people. He lets it go. And a new number 1 is crowned. How exactly is it nonsense. Why would she be embarrassed to love her child. This is not kool. This is weird, and not in a good way. People may change when offered something beyond what they can imagine. The ranking of Kings exists for the happiness of its people. 3
