I wonder if Toshi is holding a grudge because Ryoko cried or if this is just a psych-out tactic to throw Goro off his game?

Either way, somebody punch Toshi in the face; where's the fun in baseball now?

Woah, that was really unfriendly. No matter what his reason was,he didn't have to act like that.
But man,Momoko sure was sexy in that baseball uniform. Also,Shimizu's uncertainty about baseball is so funny and cute..."His control is also very good...maybe." lol.

I somewhat agree with Toshi, though. They are on the field playing a game, they don't have much time to be buddy buddy with each other. I found it amusing how he basically told Goro to stfu and play the game.

Haha what a change in the personality of Toshi, I was actually shocked when he spoke so coldly against Goro... Oh well, this sure is an interesting match but I guess Goro and his team will lose... I hope they will win though.. :D

I've never understood why friends that happen to be on rival teams have to be asshats to one another >.<

Well first they got to their 2 aces early, which was awesome. And I was not expecting that out of Toshi. Maybe he's the time to turn into super competitor once he steps on the field.

Its cold, but it might be just how he plays.

Agree.

Also, I found it amusing how surprised the players in Goro's team are to be this good :)

Suprisingly, Goro's team are doing good (and they are even getting a home run!!!). Maybe the training already paid off. At least, the "Goro One Man Team" is almost gone. And Toshi?? Seriously, he has a rude and weird way of getting serious in a game. No emotions, huh.

I found it a tad bit unrealistic that they suddenly got really good at batting after their previous games were Goro was the only person helping with his HRs, but nice episode. Man, Yokohama has so many players to pick from.

Kind of sucks that Yokohama has such a large team, definitely an unfair advantage that they can just replace shaken players one after another like that . . . I wouldn't say that the team is that great if they just use reinforcements one after another like that.

Anyways, going to bet that Goro is going to get struck out here, although if Toshi was the better catcher (which I am assuming he is) why is he not starting? Unlike pitchers it is extremely common for a catcher to be able to last the entire game . . .

Yeah, they will lose that match. But it will be closer than they would have thought. Sadly, they will mostly lose it because they have a good and flexible coach. He's able to give clear directives and calmly analyse the mood of his team.

They sure started to make some long faces x)

I was so disappointed for the first 7 minutes. Then they turned it around. Now, it's still not even, but it will be a tough fight. I don't expect them to win

No wonder they're surprised... A week ago noone was able to hit a forkball, even had trouble hitting fastballs, and all of a sudden every single player can hit the curveballs of the best team's pitcher, after only one late session at the batting center... Damn I gotta start training today, maybe I'll become a pro in a month or so !

Aaaand, another character that has a complete turnaround. Toshi-kun was supposed to be the rival but he is too friendly. I know, let's make him become rude during matches, that way the right dynamic can be instaured between him and Goro. Oooh, it will also work for a possible future Toshi/Ryoko shipping.

Love that they're putting up a fight :) Was pretty depressing watching them get hammered like that during the first inning. Not to mention the players from Yokohama were acting so dam obnoxious.

They don't have to be dicks to each other either though >_> Might've done it to keep Goro focused but yikes that was rude.

What a game!
They really improved their batting.
I didn't like how Toshi was acting there.

Toshi is right though. They are playing a serious match, and talking will just make either of them careless. You have to concentrate 100% in a game like this, and Goro's loud mouth certainly won't allow that.

As for the game itself, it's a bit of Mifune Dolphins getting better and a bit of Yokohama Little being cocky and arrogant. As noticed when the pitchers got angry at the catcher and continued doing their own thing. A really mediocre team just landed a home run, of course they'll get shaken up and perform worse. That's what I like in Major, the games deal a lot with psychological state of the players and things like injuries. I mean they're still children. An adult won't react that way, but a kid certainly would.

I'm glad the game isn't a complete wipeout, but I don't like how fast they caught up though. The way the episode ended, I'm expecting a big turnaround again and Yokohama scoring a lot again.

Even if it's unrealistic, I like how their sudden comeback incorporated all of the training they had been doing! Especially that Shimizu's not scared of batting anymore since she's become the catcher. And yikes Toshi is so cold! But he's right, too, I think Goro is a little too carefree with talking on the field. Still, there's got to be some happy medium between the two attitudes.

Toshi could've handled Goro a lot better than just being a dick but alas he's also a kid so hard to be just straight up professional even if he thought it came out that way.

Rocky start but good to see the sidecharacter teammates doing a great job like Maehara's clean hit and even Tanabe and Hasegawa's homeruns. I know its a serious match but little bit of friendliness isn't too much to ask there Toshi.
