Well this episode was moody and rather depressing...

At least we got to see the boys fighting the good fight again. Shuuta really is a guy who isn't afraid of anyone lol. Really looks like their city has a lot of more problems to solve beyond just the politics.

Ok episode. It was cool to see some action again. I liked those melancholic moments as well.

This trolley problem involving Ran's friend Kunai being the terrorist to a cruise luxury liner explosion, the RGB guys just can't wait to get this solved ASAP aside from being one of Carneades' acts while Asumi gives the multiple-choice solutions.

More than Hajime being the trigger of the paper company from the formation of Drug D and Ran's friend's music app Di-VA that doubles as a biometric sensor, combine them both and that is a weapon in the making. Kunai got bought into this shady deal and eventually being won by the non-physical drug as a victim, it didn't take Ran's words but Koki's actions from SARG to deal the final blow.

The execution just keeps getting wonky of being an end into itself.

I'm wondering where's 0th now.

Anyway, I'm not satisfied with this episode, even though I'm not completely sure if Kunai is really dead, thus solving Trolley problem.

But it's quite interesting that if Ran press the button amd the bomb exploded after Kunai getting killed, then Trolley problem also consider solved since both choices are selected, even if it's worse than normal solution. Trolley problem only allow one choice, not "all choice", and not "none of those choice"

What a dumb episode. Super hacker dude's music app became the vector for some random mafioso to spread… uh… a magical auditory drug which you download from your phone that drives people to beserk rages and/or suicide, and when he tried to go to his friends for help, they were too busy screaming their own anti-drug berserker rage about how evil drugs and everybody associated with drugs are, so he decided everything was his fault, and the only thing left was to assassinate the guy. So the good guys decide that what they need to do is steal the hard drive that the drug kingpin carries everywhere with him that contains, uh, the source code to the internet drug and all the evil plans, I guess, which they just plain immediately screw up because their plan was to just jump at him and snatch it out of his hand, so the dude tries to blow them up so the government flavor kid orders him sniped. Where do you even start with all that? And why is grandma just sitting there placidly while he talks about bombing, drugs, and other criminal activities right in front of her?

The stupidity of the… everything… wouldn't have been so bad if the whole episode wasn't nothing more than a recitation of it. There is nothing to grab onto here except the weird ass story about a 'drug' that apparently literally nobody realizes is not a drug at all and bizarre reactions to that from every single character. At least half of it takes place in flashbacks, leaving the protagonists not driving the story in any way whatsoever or trying to prevent the tragedy and ultimately failing, but… well, not doing anything. Playing catchup, I guess. Not even organically. Just random flashbacks about ridiculous things being reacted to in ridiculous ways. They were barely even there, which is a Not a Good Place for the characters who should be driving the story to be!

A pretty serious episode towards the end, Kunai shot to death by Ko. Seems like there was no time for another ending.

Great episode! So Drug D is non physical and when Kunai got tempted to sell his app intended to originally heal people, they ended up changing it to be dangerous! I really feel sorry for Kunai who was just trying his best and also trying to help his grandmother. He also felt he couldn't talk to Ran originally otherwise he would be disliked by him for what he had done.

Unfortunately, Kunai was shot in the end...

Looking forward to the next episode!

everything is going too fast. We don't have time to appreciate and understand what happened, and to make our theory.
It could have been great if it could have taken more than one episode.
But they are positive points. The points of view of Red Hair and Green Hair are totally opposite and this can be a big problem for next episodes. It Looks interested.

Good episode. Felt long for some reason.

We see Kunai back story, who created drug D etc..

Kunai was just the victim and didn't deserve to die, sure he wanted to bomb the whole ship but Red could have talked him out of it, plus he felt like doing that only because he was influenced by drug D. If anyone had to die it should have been the Howard dude and the white suit dude.

The obachan is now alone damn. I hope Red just goes there and starts acting like her grandson xD.

Looking forward to next episode.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.

Another backstory episode but more focusing on Kunai and Ran's friendship: pretty interesting that Ran and Kunai were talented in any form of arts but Kunai's case is a lot more time-consuming to get better at what Ran is good at, I like how they're trying training to become the best at arts and embrace their love to art and make the world a great environment where everyone shouldn't be out of their comfort zone. Wait the damn minute, how did he become a hacker all the sudden(?) Maybe that's a self-taught but it somewhat makes him play a mysterious role too in turning his Di-VA music app that formulates to a Drug D creation in order to increase the crime rate; killing quarter the humanity and now I do feel bad for Kunai that he initially build this app for the purpose of healing people but was unfortunately deceived, honestly if it were something more realistically (e.g someone erasing my project), I would feel emotionally attached to Kunai. The monitor going "DddDddd" was so aesthetic :o.

The current dilemma: a bomb threat targeting WINNER's, that were set up for the RGB to stop the event from any occurrence of danger. I felt like re-hearing the options, both options sounds really polar and it was really predictable what option they're going to choose just for the sake of saving humanity, I don't think a certain case like this would need that many expanded knowledge of such things that are related to capturing the culprit who is behind to set up the explosion but whatever the RGB can discuss at their own pace. So far, everyone is just doing their job to monitor the event. Who in the world is 0th(?) please, these names are getting hilarious. What the fuck, they actually shot Kunai in the end, at least they could talk it out and they could've shot that Tarki bitch, what a waste of time.. Even the dilemma ended bruh.. not even a single action is shown... Overall a weird episode, I wish the first half of the episode just explains thoroughly about Kunai's backstory, how he invented this project, and started to get involved in the dilemma while the 2nd half would be mostly RGB showing their action packed, but anyways I'm going to keep continuing it till the end.

Last week, I predicted that the Casino developers probably had something to do the distribution/manufacturing of Drug D. I did not predict that Ran's friend had inadvertently created the technology for Drug D.

I didn't predict Drug D being an app on your iPhone that sends harmful music to your biometric feed. Considering the fact that the US government has used loud music to interrogate Iraqi prisoners, this idea has ~some~ basis in real life. But please stop giving Apple ideas for apps. I don't want my biometric information being used for advertisements.

I also thought for sure that SARG or the Tokyo 24-kyu government had something to do with the development of the drug. I was wrong :(. But apparently they are planning some kind of revolution using technology.

Also Koki, in true police fashion, shoots a man. At least shoot a leg or an arm, dumbass! Now, you can't investigate the technology or the motivations behind the bombing. Unless, that was intentional???? No need to indict the Casino developers...

Anyway, I tolerated Koki being a policeman because he seemed to only be an intern doing paperwork. I have no more sympathy. "We don't negotiate with terrorists." I don't know if Kudo unintentionally got infected with Drug D or not, but either way, he's a victim of these corporate clowns.

I don't think bombing "innocent people" was the right way to go through. There were better ways of revenge, goddamnit! Your inferiority complex isn't going to help you in the afterlife!

Also, is the crazy trolley problem choice man also using DI-va technology?

Also, it's so sweet to see Kudo's obaasan hanging up his graffiti in hallway. It's such a grandma thing to do, and it gives her so much character!

i thought this anime would just disappoint my expectations, but this episode made me realize it can do much better. I loved how the morals fight was established (imo much better than before). it's possible to justify most sides of the conflict and understand why certain actions were taken. i think this arc could have been longer because the ending of episode felt rushed. I hope the future episodes will be more like this one!

Along with the first episode, I think this ep is the best one so far ! Great convoluted plot and moral debate. It looks like they are keeping the moral path they initially proposed and it's coming off pretty interesting I must say.

I like Ran as a character a lot and how they managed his relationship with Kunai. Of course, once again, the outcome has been sad, but I hope they grow stronger out of this situation.

Overall, I'm happy this was good and hasn't fell over yet.

Man like this show is really colorful for sure since it tries to be thought-provoking but what is worse it actually succeeds. Why is that bad you might ask? Well for starters we have our green-kun who is trying to be this super legit guy that does things the way they are supposed to be done (at least by the law standards?) but he totally omits the fact that he might need some proof before he coldbloodedly kills someone he thinks is the "criminal" like having visions and all is kinda nice but that is not evidence so yeah like that guy who made the shot has some serious trust issues and if not he sure is about to have them. Then we have red-kun that thinks that he can prevent his friends death by leading his other friends who too had the same vision astray and that it will work out, like yeah you have one kinda psychopathic friend that kills anyone that would be flagged as "ze criminale" so I kinda get where is he going from... anyway this was by far the worst ep so far like idk man I just feel like we have three guys with lots of psychiatric problems trying to fix the universe and well why I don't really mind the outcome I feel like they are just beyond saving.

I think this episode really is the stepping stone to see how well these three can work together. Honestly I felt like it was sort of dumb for Ran to not say "HEY THIS IS MY FRIEND HE CANT BE A TERRORIST"
OR
Tell Kouki about Drug D and how the cooperations are the ones at fault.

I feel like there's going to be a lot more people dying who are important to our MC's

For all the controversy out there about cloverworks being swamped working on 3 anime for this season.... honestly none of their shows are bad this season. I'd even hazard to say the production is solid on all three of their shows. This show in particular gets a bad rap. It definitely has issues you can pick apart, but it's still not bad. Most studios, if they made this show, it probably wouldn't be this good... and this was the last anime they started working on out of 3 for this season. Pretty incredible work given the circumstances.

NGL, I am not happy with Kouki rn. I get it from his perspective but I am also really sour about the whole thing. I guess I have some hope that Kunai will survive cause I don't think he deserves to die. But I honestly doubt it, which makes me even more sour. Ntm, that the criminals using Drug D are likely going to cause more pain and suffering than Kunai will. It's really sad how corruption is able to win by hiding behind the law. Kinda defeats the point of having a law to begin with if it ends up causing more harm than good. (And in this case, the potential for harm has gone exponentially up by letting them go as the longer Drug D remains in circulation, the more dangerous the situation remains on the streets).

This really enters into the ethics of killing someone who, out of no fault of their own, will harm other people. Or for a real life scenario, killing someone who has been laced with a drug that makes them commit a crime.

Your not wrong, but at the same time, there is no guaranty that Kouki would change his outlook especially given their antagonistic nature with each other. Even if he told Kouki about the corporations, I get the feeling that he wouldn't be able to just ignore a person killing allot of others.

Honestly, this episode jarred my suspension of disbelief. So there's this super-popular default app which has had a "cause serious mental damage" feature for quite a while now, and the instructions for activating this secret fun mode are right there on the internet... but somehow nobody knows about this? The tech blogs aren't all over it? Nobody has ever posted about it on Twitter?

The scene where Kunai shouts out technobabble exposition about the drug, while simultaneously being driven insane by the drug, is more amusing than anything.

I like the drama of this series, but it also sometimes gets too silly for its own good.

but having super powers isn't silly? I rich company or government can easily block those blogs you don't remember during the pandemic you couldnt research co(v...) with google blocking you or this Ukraine war. I got a few your comment is deleted for misinformation on Tiktok so with their more advance technology they would have done a better job blocking. This is an anime but what you said isnt farfetch.
