This only happens in the anime fandom to such a degree, which is both good and bad

Eg go to any mainstream movie or video game forum. Talking about adult or non-pc material will likely get you banned or the ire of the moral police will fall upon you. Especially when posting pics . You'd have to subscribe to unaffiliated subforums.
Some comic forums do allow discussing celebrated adult content by erotic artists, but they rarely enter the waters of smut content. You have to go deeper underground for such kind of discussions.

Though literature forums are more open because the written form allows for the greatest form of expression, without the binding shocking factor of images and videos and it is easier to mix erotic and smut content , though it requires a certain level of knowledge and experience.

Yet in anime you can discuss about such topics freely in most forums and some also have a hentai section.

One disadvantage is that it deters many newcomers too who see anime just as mainstream entertainment and leads to extreme views , even linking it with children exploitation

Had someone told me anime discussions would be like this in the monolithic era of dbz, sailor moon, Pokemon and Power Rangers, I would never have believed it.

It reveals which people are sex positive and which people are sex negative.

Sex negative people are not worth my time.

Hmmm never met a forum/community where I couldn't write about "adult" stuff or not related to it, but I only visited community of Mal, Osu and Mount and Blade so I don't have alot of intel on this stuff to even compare how it might look like in other bigger forum communities x).

As long as I can write about alcohol related stuff I am happy x)

yo, great thread it made me realise this... I never thought about it but it's true...

Anime Community no matter how toxic it gets is at least accepting and free.
Gaming Community (i have never been a part of other than Valorant and GTA because I just play single players /story-based/ campaigns)

Movie Community has lots of moral policing..

Anime as a piece of media is more free, innovative, expressive than most things out there.
Seems like it is truly a "cultured" form of entertainment.

What do you find so unbelievable about what you described? You didn't seem to specify.

I'm sex neutral. I can understand both positives and negatives in an almost sort of equilibrium. Sex is love and art. But is also an absolute abyss of the worst.

That that generation would grow afterwards to watch even more varied content. Even people of my generation want to erase the memories of soft porn tv and movies era, like Tutti Frutti for example and treat it as if it were hardcore porn. You hardly can discuss about it on popular retro pages. Anime retains that aspect still.

I was referring to adult anime themes mostly. For the latter, dating sites are more fitting.

Personally, I don't understand why people get so up in arms about erotic content. I mean, we're all the product of human reproduction. But people too often link it to negative aspects. So it becomes taboo to talk about.

Yes that's why I love about the Anime community, when it comes to sexual act, fantasies, taboo, fetishes and controversial material they are more accepting compared to any other out there.

.

I was in other forum (PopForum/Gay Board) and they literally BANNED any sex talk just because they wanted ads and also be people pleaser to some sensitive small loud group of users, I was sad when this happened...just yesterday

And saw this message in that Pop Forum. (I would hate if something like this happened on here)

As you are aware, ATRL is looking to resume ads across the forum. As such, we must be in compliance with certain rules and regulations for our advertisers. Please be aware of the following:

One of the specific issues brought up has been the removal of Adult: Sexual Content. Effective immediately, HQ avatars have been disabled due to the volume of inappropriate avis that have been brought to our attention.

Gifs that have been cropped to suggest sexual content will be removed. If members continue to fail to comply to requests to refrain from said content, they will be warned if posted.

In the coming days and weeks, we will be going through the forum to streamline our policies, remove avis that to do not adhere to policy, etc. If know your avi is in violation, please remove it yourself and replace it with something appropriate.

As of right now, The Roof will not have ads served to that location. However, we may be required to make policy changes in that location temporarily while we carve out exceptions.

Sexually explicit content
We do not allow content that:

includes graphic sexual text, image, audio, video, or games.
Examples: Sex acts such as genital, anal, and/or oral sex; masturbation; cartoon porn or hentai; graphic nudity
contains non-consensual sexual themes, whether simulated or real.
Examples: Rape, incest, bestiality, necrophilia, snuff, lolita or teen-themed pornography, underage dating

This includes content that:

contains nudity.
is sexually gratifying, sexually suggestive and/or intended to cause sexual arousal.
discusses sexual fetishes.
is about sexual entertainment.
promotes sexual merchandise.
facilitates affairs and/or sexual encounters.
provides advice regarding sexual performance.
promotes sexual enhancement medications or supplements.

Exactly. Of course it's bad when it's depicted in obviously explicit way, making it not erotic anymore, but closer to pornography.

That being said, I think it's also something bad to rage over nudity in shows that are not meant to be watched by little kids. First of all, their target is old enough to not be damaged anyway by that kind of content; secondly, things like naked butts are something normal and natural to expect i.e. when there is a scene with a character taking a shower.

So in other words: "yes" to complaining about nudity in shows dedicated for kids; "no" for calling obvious pornography as "erotic elements"; "no" for resigning from any nudity or erotism in shows dedicated to older audience, if those shows' plot or certain scene requires such elements.
"Inca no mezame potatoes" (recipe)
You deep fry them straight into cooking oil without any batter. You don't boil the inca no mezames... once the deep frying is done, you toss them into a stew.
