least toxic anime fandom

what is the least toxic anime fandom you have seen so far

the slice of life fandom but people may say there are lots of pedos there although they are not as vocal as other fandom from what i observe

Sol Fans as a whole can be quite whiny to likes of battle shounen fans even tho both stuff have nothing to do each other lol.
Bar but when it comes specific fandom almost any mainstream fandom is toxic so eh.

Digimon in general is rather chill, most of the drama that could ever happen already happened fifteen or more years ago so we're all just tired. Appmon in particular is especially worth mentioning, I've never seen any sort of discourse surrounding it.

Slayers and Haibane Renmei are also really chill. A lot of older anime whose "time" has gone are mostly just people who are tired of drama.

Anyone who is going to say Gintama is definitely stupid Gintama fans are one of the most annoying fandom.

Slice of Life, probably because it's the chill genre to begin with, and toxic assholes generally find slice of life interminably boring. like, I don't think you HAVE to be a good person to enjoy slice of life, but I think there's a somewhat better nice/asshole ratio among SoL enjoyers.

specifically CGDCT exclusive fans can be iffy though. part of what put me off anime for a really long time were fucking weird K-On! fans.

Slice of Life fandoms and by no means don't make each and every respective fandom toxic because most of these anime with the fallen genre are chill and less negativity since most of them are full of comedy but if the comedy hits too hard then maybe it would get a bit toxic.

From what I've seen, probably slice of life series and Detective conan fandoms.

I have found people who enjoy Nana and other josei to be pretty laidback.

Pretty much anything that isn't very popular, or isn't filled with the usual fandom destroyers like shippers or snowflakes, or in other words, modern day teenagers.

I agree. Retro anime fandoms are very chill. Since old, obscure titles aren't popular and older viewers typically watch them, they're likely the least toxic. The outrageous to retarded bullshit of the 80's and 90's is something that is only really appreciated by a relatively small amount of people in the community, since not many modern anime fans are into it. I really don't get why so many people don't find old OVA's appealing. Literal hidden gems.

Ahahaha, of course. Much of the controversy over tastes on this site stems from the arrogant CGDCT / yuri fanboys. I would even say that the chill atmosphere, on the contrary, makes many fans of these genres a rather arrogant police of tastes, who believe that wholesome shows are objectively the best (it was because of SoL fans' obsession with "wholesome" that the word started to annoy me), and more lewd or shows with male leads (not-wholesome) shitty content for perverted stupid people without taste.

Imo detective Conan fandom but non-popular anime also have less toxic fandom like mononoke

Many sol anime enjoyers, got into takahashi rumikos works and inuyasha, ranma 1/2 and Maison ikkoku fandoms are pretty chill lul and yeah doraemon fans

The Omnisciet Reader Fandom is very good, but I feel with the finishing of Solo Leveling many will move to the ORV Fandom and become toxic again saying it's the greatest blah blah blah.

i still say One Piece fandom,

even when i say my honest opinion why i don't like One Piece and abhor the character design, i never got insulted by One Piece fans, they just let me my opinion.

Not at all, I've had so many random MAL users demanding an explanation for why I gave it a low rating and going on about shit taste and stuff, HxH fans have put that thing on a pedestal and worship it like the most unique piece of art ever created and they cannot stand anyone who disagrees with them.

I think Gintama is the least toxic fandom. I don't belong to any fandom so I don't have a good idea about that.

Houseki no Kuni fans are super laid back, you can say what you want about HnK and no one will attack you, we will say "thank you for your thoughts, it was insightful". We're talking about a manga with a 8.9 on MAL but we don't care about rating and we never appear to act like snobs, HnK could have a 2.5 and be botted to oblivion for all I care, what matters is our desperation and depression in reading about Phos and her merry friends

My thoughts exactly. There's a lot of them that really can't take genuine critiques of elements of the series and are very vocal about overhyping it. It surprises me how many people genuinely think there's little to no toxicity within it.
