| Until I read this arc of the visual novel Higurashi Rei, I won't know if it's any better. As for this manga adaption though... it's ok. Decent theme of love being something that should be worked together in adapting to one another, but this parody world line was weird. I was hoping it was a story where several of the female cast would be in a love illusion for Keiichi. Unfortunately it was Rena being in love with; Tomitake, Takano, Ooishi, and confessing to Keiichi before the affects of the ("without discord") fuwarazu jewel took full affect which I think is a cheap way to have a world line where Rena reveals romantic feelings towards Keiichi. A seal being broken called the fuwarazu jewel with a red and white gem, with the red being the one that will be attracted to the white from Hanyuu, a God of Marriage was interesting... The end is even more bizarre than how I originally felt from seeing Rena being in this odd situation of loving adults. A perverted Tomitake and Takano who's given up on men and loving Rena as a siter is... weird. It's somewhat funny, but the events and scenario's aren't very entertaining. Disappointing. 4/10. |
