| I'm currently reading it and honestly for me the effect has been more the opposite. While i'm still liking it a lot i feel that compared to the first part from after the time jump the story has become waaay more slow, also the friend reveal was pretty underwhelming. There are a lot of ups, actually some incredibly dope ups, like Kana and the mobsters part, or one of the most based character returns ever ("Your name is Hoshi? Then i'm Jo Yabuki", gotta love him) but in general i much preferred the beginning. Obviously i could completely change my mind once finished, since often i've found the middle part of Urasawa's works the weakest (in Monster and Billy Bat too tbh). And btw i agree with people saying chapter 1, 20CB chapter 1 and the entire first volume was incredible and hooked me immediately |
