| Looks like things are going all according to Kenjaku. Higuruma is such an interesting character- it’s too bad he’s taking off so soon! Akutami giveth and Akutami taketh. (I don’t think Itadori is done with him yet, there’s still a chance to win him over through action) . The one person that has been characterized as a bomb by Kenjaku within the story is Sukuna?!! (Yuji like a bomb!) Makes you question how Yuji was already a part of the game since the beginning and why Hajime is looking for Sukuna as well. |

| It was brief, but Higuruma's exit scene was quite good, probably the highlight of the chapter. But the chapter as a whole was pretty good, I'm glad the Reggie encounter turned out to be a lot more interesting than it was first presented, with the plot reveals and it being a negotiation first. Megumi got to be a straight up scary BAMF in this chapter. The eyeball ending is interesting. The paneling obscuring Megumi's eye makes it seem like it might be his eye, though perhaps it's Nue's? Nue was outside, and might've flown back up or something. Don't really see it being Nobara's but I'd be down for that tbh. |
| I like that they kept the Chinese part, it adds to the experiece, even though I don't understand it lmao. I hope Higuruma appears again later, he's too good of a character. But I respect him, for wanting to turn himself in. Also very strong characterization even while he was on his merry way when he said he'd hate himself more if he stays with Yuuji, goat shit. Gaddamn, Fushigorou is badass. Though all it takes is a eyeball to the face to change the momentum. |

What is he doing in China??? Also Megumi is such a badass! But what is that eye about? Wonder who his mysterious ally is. |

| Yay finally Itadori is adding a rule to the culling game to allow others in giving points to each other thanks to Hiromi giving his 100 points and now Kogane has officially announced it! and Hiromi is so extra, giving 1 point to Itadori lmao. DUDE I somehow am feeling bad for Hiromi, like I know he really wants to outsmart others but the effect that Itadori took to him made him feel like it’s over but anyways he’s on his way to rebuttle Itadori’s plead for his suspicion case, and fuck why do I feel bad for everyone? I don’t know anymore, I feel like everyone is not staying true to himself or ruining other people’s own dignity here. Oh now it’s from Megumi and Remi’s perspective fighting against Reggie. Megumi has a really broad knowledge about the culling game but Reggie is under the fact that he's allied with Fake Geto. Reggie described about what the actual culling game is and you know that one of the strongest sorcerers is already losing against Itadori lmao so it’s one to go, the culling game somewhat reminds of a king of the hill where the survival of the fittest gains it all to unleash the deadlock. How would someone die from a teleportation when it’s just getting started because in Itadori’s end, he’d be able to beat the shit outta anyone with his very fast responses. Oh so the survival of the fittest will fight against Geto? This is getting real interesting but accumulating points through allying one another seems a bit strange for Reggie’s case and lol Megumi bluntly said that Remi’s not strong is hilarious, and Megumi failed his negotiation with Reggie when he wants to handover the points from him, leading to a random sorcerer appearing behind him while his responses are quick, he’s stuck in between the sorcerer, eventually activating his technique until the sorcerer strike to the ground. Oh boy Megumi is reaching his boiling point fr and his divine dog got stabbed with two knives on their mouth ouch. |
| End of Yuji culling game arc with the judge. Felt inconsequential like an escape for Yuji. I guess there's no way of topping Shibuya arc. The judge's moral turn was so quick. This ending felt too shounen overall. But I guess the theme is personal accountability, but how accountable can you be to a demon inside of you? I guess it all relates to collectivism. Personally I think that's a good mantra, clean up your own garbage etc. But the sudden turn for the judge was nonsensical. Higuruma felt like a throwaway overall. Uninteresting dialogue. Nothing can justify Yuji for existing, nothing can justify him not existing, he just is. I guess Higuruma got caught in nihilism, but overall I find his arc unsatisfying. Dialogue was too unclear. I don't agree with the 'convince them with moralism' stuff. Just felt shallow here. |
