| Okay, I LOL'd. ^_^; I really wasn't expecting something quite that slashy :) I kept thinking that guys would probably really like this series if Shirogane was a cute girl with big boobs XD This show is pretty bad, yet I still liked it. :) I had fun thinking of new lines for all the character dialogue as it went along. I enjoyed Junichi Suwabe's voice as Shirogane too *_* Wow, that background music IS really bad visual novel or generic hentai porn music XD But come on, it's not like Akira wasn't totally asking to be molested by a random slashy bishounen, what with his wearing a belt around his neck like that. That's practically an invitation right there! I think his reaction at meeting Haruka was one of 'wow, someone more uke than me...' Er, anyway, I am amused, so I will eatch the next episode :) |

| I thought it was quite enjoyable. The chara design seems OK, some moments made me smile, and so far the animation is no too shabby. I was too focused on trying to understand the dialogue to notice the music. However the plot is pretty common, so I will watch a few more to see how it turns out... |

| I didn't like it. In fact, I found this first episode so bad that I couldn't stop laughing. XD And yes, the background music was awesome : it really sounds like it's coming from a very bad visual novel. |
| I wasn't really paying attention to the music though. I was basically paying attention to the characters. Although it acted as if it was a Shounen Ai anime. :D Which made me smile everytime he blushed. :3 I liked the characters design, especially Akira whenever he changes his wardrobe when he turns into a warrior in combat xD |
| The music left something to be desired... but, c'mon, super-Akira dresses like a pirate! Definitely amusing. The show seems like crap, but I can just see myself watching more of it anyway. ;) |

| it was alright, it was pretty funny and it started off well. only problem is: it's shounen-ai. its a problem for me at least, because watching this makes me uncomfortable. I actually managed to watch half of Loveless, but this I don't know. (I don't like doing this, because if a show has a good story and characters, I feel whether or not its shounen-ai makes no difference. Still, it's not something I can ignore) ill put it on hold, check back again to see if it turns into a massive gay orgy or not, and if it does, i suppose ill drop it. I kept thinking that guys would probably really like this series if Shirogane was a cute girl with big boobs XD big boobs or not would be okay, but my problem is that he looks exactly like a girl. same with that other rich kid. |

| Wow no kidding about this needing a shonen-ai tag. This was just one big sasauge fest. Like MagicalEmi said, if they made Shirogane as "a cute girl with big boobs" maybe i might stick around. But no, it was a dude that is easily creepier than even michael jackson. Sorry, but this one really through me a curve. I will be saying good bye to this one |

Still, it's not something I can ignore) hahha, me too. i was very skeptical about this being shounen-ai (when it wasn't even tagged as such on ann and mal, so you guys should start tagging) when shirogane is wearing lip color...and it was confirmed later in the episode. i also watched half of loveless not because of the shounen-ai but because i thought the concept was interesting. however, i am a yaoi fan but watching it and reading it is different for me...idk, i might or might not continue with this. i still like their costumes though...i think. |

| mmmmm I finally got to watch the ep subbed and I loved it!!! I new the show was old spice from the manga but the anime is just awesome!!! That opening theme song was beautiful! I do wish we could have heard Akira sing thought, it would have been hot. Is anyone else bothered by Shirogane's lipstick? |

| I too was thrown off by the lack of "shounen-ai" tags... anywhere. xD I agree with you, icenek0. Pretty eyes I'm not bothered by, since they tend to pop up on a lot of guys in the shoujo genre anyway. But the lipstick screams 'transvestite'. xD As other people have mentioned, however, there are other reasons this anime might be very mediocre. So to watch or not to watch? I'll give it one more episode and see from there. |
| Those weren't undertones.... Monochrome Factor is just shonen Ai. Oh well it wasn't anything new but it was quite ok as an average shonen action series until... ahem the last part of the episode when i fully understood the "mood" of the series. Too bad cause i liked the superdeformed moments And yeah the bgm was really cheap. |

| Lol been trying to hold back with posting here but this really would be so much better if they just followed the manga and esp if they didn't add the shounen-ai/slashy elements. >_< Shirogane weirded me out here and Akira is barely sadistic. >: Overall, I'm somewhat disappointed. |

| Actually I myself watch BL. xP But I don't really like it for this since I loved the manga. It was already bound to not be viewed as much but now it's even more limited, mainly to people who either like BL or are open to it. I'm sticking to this for Akira, hoping he'll be sadistic again lol. And a lil Haruka. 8D |

| Shirogane reminds me of Abel Nightroad with Xelloss Metallium's personality. In other words, I love this show and I'm definitely in for the full ride. |
| I hadn't been planning on watching this. I first saw it in one of the Animages and disregarded it as nothing much (the main character reminded me of the main guy from Black Cat... collar much?) But then someone posted that Shirogane was the new Soubi, so of COURSE I ran to watch it. No comment. However, everytime someone says 'Akira!!' I am reminded of Princess Princess XD I like that Akira didn't start blushing until after his transformation. And that he repeatedly says he doens't care... but does melodramatic stuff anyway, just because he's bored. Strange reason to almost kill yourself...! |

| The beginning was rather cliche, but the second half was much better :] The comedic parts I actually laughed at. It's been a while since I've done that! Shirogane is...strange. I almost like him. He reminds me of someone, but I can't quite seem to put my finger on them. His voice is awesome *o* (I keep getting flashes of Al from Ikoku Irokoi Romantan XD) I must admit that part of the appeal of this anime (to me) is the slashiness X3 I knew it was slashy before, but wow, that's a lot slashier than I thought o.o I'll give it another episode to determine whether or not it is actual shounen ai cuz for some reason, I want to doubt it is x] |

| Kind of a lame first episode, but lame in a good way... somehow. I'm hoping for some good character development, since the cast is pretty generic right now and I dislike most of them. (At least Akira has epic weird hair.) On another note, the lack of adults in this episode was kind of odd. The arcade has no staff, students can wander into school in the middle of the night... |

I JUST finished reading the first volume of the manga before watching the first episode, and it definitely ISN'T shounen-ai in its original form, and Shirogane kissing Akira was a big "O_O" moment, since I hadn't seen it advertised as shounen-ai either. Though, like Ephemeral, I don't mind it in the least. >D To those who are reminded of Loveless: Same director. I caught shades of it too watching this. As for the series itself, from the first episode I like the pacing of the anime more than the manga (which is rare.) I think the mangaka was a bit disorganized in deciding where she was going with it, and for that reason I found it hard to get into. While the anime isn't any easier to get drawn into (okay, the music is BAD) it seems more streamlined. It's likely going to be something fun and lighter to watch while trying to wrap my mind around the plotlines in Code Geass. ^^;; |

| The gay factor of it I don't like at all. This series seems like it could definitely do without that, which personally would've made me enjoy it a lot more (though that's probably just cause I'm a guy who isn't gay nor enjoys watching gays.) However, if that's the only bad thing about it, I'll keep watching because the concept seems pretty interesting. If the gayness does go over the top though, I'm dropping this. Gotta go watch the other episodes and catch up... |
