4 episodes in, should I continue?

I'm 4 episodes in but can't find the motivation to continue, the character development is meh characters themselves aren't that interesting.
does it get better or should I drop it?

Tbh even I dropped it few episode it. It's not like this is bad (had a nice concept) but it didnt have the flare to keep me interested. But I will probably try it once again someday.

I meant that it has a really open finale, but the lack of success they didn’t make a second season

This anime is based on historic records so they cant just add s2
