Dropping it.

At this point is just boring. The show tries to do too many things and doesn't deliver on anything.

Is this a power fantasy? Why is OP so weak (hasn't trained for 3.5 years, gets a power-up by chance).

Is this an Isekai? OP doesn't seem to use his past knowledge or experience for anything, we got a trauma scene once, but since then it's done and gone.

Is this an hero journey? But again no growth, not even emotionally.

A romance? The redhead doesn't seem to care that much, or him.

An harem? The other heroines are gone and forgotten.

Is it just echi? The scenes show legs at at most, or just violence...

Slice of life? Maybe, but then what about all the sudden death, abuse and trauma...

The whole thing never goes anywhere. It's like playing a series of unfinished games. Our MC tries to be OP but stays mediocre, tries love his family then his family is gone, tries to romance a girl then girl runs away (x3: first NTR, then forced by plot, then girl literally leaves), starts gaining political leverage then is teleported in the middle of nowhere, tries to be a hero but fails to save everyone (and nobody gives a fuck). It feels like playing a game and trying to do 20 side quests in parallel just for the plot to suddenly advance and reach the end of the game with all those quests incomplete.

fantastic episode, brilliant. Paul looks like a cunt here but he obviously has been through a lot. Eris and Rudy at the end almost got me tearing up.

First time Rudeus has run into family since being teleported to the Demon Continent. First time he's seen his father in over 6 years. And the episode did not disappoint. I had reservations how the much of the previous story became barely pictured once Rudeus teleported to the Demon Continent. But it served a purpose. He was inconsiderate. If Rudeus is to be a real hero, he'll grow to be less self-centred, to see the bigger picture. One that won't be shocked when someone explains reality to him.
Episode also does Paul favour. Paul was thankfully always a well-written character. His goofy behaviour carried real consequences in the mistakes he made, and there was more to him than being comic relief as shown in Episode 4 of Part 1. Here that's shown even more, with Paul not spouting anything comedic nor witty. He's a stern, determined family man that grows serious when the circumstances demand it. He feels exactly like the same character, despite acting so different now. The selfsame moment, Paul is taking out some of his frustrations on his son.

As an aside, the ending of the episode shows how much more effective scenes can be when they drop the inane perverted aspect of Rudeus' character. When Eris holds Rudeus, rather than making a perverted comment, he just smiles and thanks her. It's much sweeter than the alternative, and shows what she means to him.

It’s been a year and a half since the mana teleportation. Rudeus doesn’t know about it affecting his family yet. He met his father in a drunken state.

They both fight and let out their feelings at each other. Rudeus sees Norn but doesn’t recognise him.

Rudeus feels a bit guilty.

the good for nothing father has been holding a bundle of expectation since Rudy was born.Wtf did he do except impose his warrior code and made Rudy culpable for the protection of the daughter of his kin.Rudy did what he should have i.e protect the ojou sama .That is his duty .And the duty of the father is to protect his own harem. He has not changed since raping the maid and running away from the mess.Rudy a 12 year old seems like a convenient outlet to pour his own strife
