On a serious note, I thought Rody was a great addition to the movie and glad that he seems to be doing well at the end.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Like sure the other hero's were holding the villians back so Rody would have a shot but rody carried the whole team.

I absolutely love Rody and I hope Horikoshi can incorporate him into the story like he said he wanted to and then maybe he can get the happy ending he deserves.

i loved rody, he’s one of my new favorite characters now! while i was watching it i was so scared they were gonna kill him off. i think he definitely deserved better

Yeah that would be great. I basically made this post just because I found it funny that he’s still living in a trailer despite doing all that lmao.

Haha yeah it is really weird how he got nothing out of saving the entire world I was really waiting for him to get some type of reward at the end but he ended up getting nothing

^Literally this. Man saved 80% of the world population while almost dying. You would think that the entire world/hero population would have set him up for life (home, food, pension, whatever he freaking wants). Instead he is still slumming it up.

They could have given him a bonus or a reward to help him. Something that could support him in starting his own business in order to earn more honest money. He saved the entire world, so at the very least give him something.

that was a bit unrealistic, i have to agree. like sure, they're probably not gonna give him a mansion and a yacht, but pulling him out of poverty and/or giving some hero related job is the fucking least they could do. even if they didn't, otheon's government probably would've set his ass up for life. a literal world hero is not gonna go unrewarded lol

I felt like Rody was meant to represent "you" as in the audience, especially the slideshow at the end with him working a service job, studying for a passion and his siblings at a regular school. He was just a non-spectacular "ordinary" guy who didn't give up, so he's a hero like the rest, despite the fact he doesn't have any flashy superpowers.

It looks better showing him doing relatable things and working to support his family, then just coasting on a heroes payout at the end lol.

I guess setting him up with a nice job doing the logistics side of hero work could've worked as well, but showing Rody making his own way in the world is probably the better pick still.
