Is this anime do have some kind of connection to Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei? or should we called the other series?

is this another series from the previous one called Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei? or it just the another side anime which is wont relate to any kind of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei thingy? i have no idea , since i saw the thumbnail a.k.a the anime cover looks similiar to this one

I would call it another "perspective". This is kind of the same story in Miyuki's point of view and depicts all the girls of the main story, but more detailed.

Basically its a spin off of rettousei s1 where miyuki is the mc instead of tatsuya.
Just like index and railgun series.
