----------------------------------------
Their conflicted complicated bond was very intriguing, but the story has a lot of flaws.
The act of attempting suicide by falling out the window from having the guy she loves who consoled her during her mother's dying time approaching, to then gaining the determination to do anything to live life at the fullest in attaining him as a lover after surviving death is a rational means to how she first manipulated him with blackmail to become her boyfriend, but... nothing explains the rest of her behavior.

There's a hint of her being awkward since she was a child, but the want for befriending her boyfriend's ex had no presentable logic, even if she used it Kaoru as another person to learn from as that's what was possibly insinuated.
Kaoru's reaction in the first half I felt was lackluster in how she was extremely gullible and unresistant of Rin's odd want for friendship.
It's hard to imagine anyone being so accepting so fast and not being more against it all, or at least more creeped out.
The end of caring for her is fair from realizing that Rin is unstable, but Kaoru is far too easily manipulated without having resolve for her own thoughts.
Worse is how she arguably gave up on winning Yuuya back, regardless of the manga getting axed with a rushed ending.

Yuuya's character was decent, but somewhat unclear to what his romantic feelings were from what he was saying against what he was thinking which mostly implied being collaborative in the forced relationship to find out what her true intentions were.
... Even though based on action and look, he seemed to genuinely fall to lust and love, albeit conflicting.

I think most of the bullying was fine, but that last bully coming back was too forced.
Overall, it had good elements but unfortunately the characters were flawed. Not bad, even though it had more potential. 6/10.

For a manga that got axed and didn’t sell well, easily a 10/10.

Just the kind of end i was expecting. Have already said enough, no point in bringing out just how abnormal characters were in this series. Also is it really common in Japan for someone to get bullied this brutally, they really need to keep their exaggerations in check.

Oh well atleast after experiencing the bitter truth of their high school lives, they're still together lol. Nothing memorable to make out in the end, 4/10.
