| What happened with Bojji is just unfair, also Kage suffered quite a lot. I can't believe that I cried at the end of this episode. Wit Studio is such a beauty. I wish this anime becomes extremely popular so that Wit keeps creating more of such passion projects. And after reading some replies from here, I realised that I'm not alone when I cried. |

| Wow this episode just showed how great this show can be. Kage's backstory was painful, although not a tearjerker, it is a strong one in its own right. What happened to his mom was unfortunate, and what's more is that he'll suffer with the world's racist discrimination on shadows until he dies. The things that he experienced along the way was also noteworthy, and that made him for who he is right now. Bojji vs Daida...that shit's hard. I don't know what the hell Domas is thinking but at the same time I do (sometimes I can't make sense of myself). It's fair that you can't fight by just dodging only, but as of now it's the only thing Bojji can do. And if he doesn't have that handicap...well. I felt it when he's trying to grab that big sword, and with Kage pledging his support on him, it just connected. With that great ED playing afterwards, I can say this show is gunning for greatness. For now it's very good, but you never know, it can stay like this or it can push higher! |

| Im actually teared up, that was fast backstory about Kage but it's so wholesome, expecially at the big bad guy part... like he's dead for his karma but still teared up having Kage by his side in the end.... literally no negative feelings that shit got me. Daida vs Bojji when Daida's coach said dodging is the only thing he can do also got me, that's so true it hurts. Bojji & Kage's friendship approved! |
| Not me crying like a little beeyotch in the first half. My heart broke so much for Kage. Him seeing that guy as a parent figure despite what he did to him, him holding his hand every morning when he woke up. My heart cannot take it. Can I say this? FUCK YOU DOMAS! You are a fucking shit character! If Apeas didn't interfere, Bojji would've died. You'd think Domas be a good character but I had my doubts when he was more impressed by Knife nose's skills and wanted to train him. Apeas please be Bojji's new swordmaster. Also I'm happy. Kage and Bojji are besties now. |

| Quite an infuriating episode. Kage's past was quite tragic; his entire clan was killed presumably because that conspicuously corrupt noble wanted their assassin business for himself and/or saw them as political rivals or obstacles against his ambition. Almost just as frustrating was Bojji's sparring with his half-brother Daida. Bojji might be physically weak but he is very agile and fast, and the way he sparred was not cowardly at all. He did not just avoid Daida's attacks, he also hit him, which meant that Daida sucked in both attack and defence. Daida was also extremely angry and frustrated both because he could not land a hit and because he was hit by Bojii, so I cannot see why he was thought to be fighting fairly while Bojji was supposedly cheating. Since when dodging a stick / sword is considered cheating? And since when sparring partners who lose their cool because they cannot land a single hit are thought to have the moral high ground instead of being considered sore losers? The worst of all though was Domas, who basically instructed Bojji to lose in order to feed the wounded ego of his idiot brother. Untrustworthy indeed.. It also made no sense that Domas was unaware of Bojji's superior dodging abilities since he is his personal sword-fighting instructor. That was a severe character error, if not a plot hole. |

| In this episode it was possible to see how Kage's childhood and life was very sad and painful, all his friends and family died, and he even saw his mother's body in the enemy's weapon. Domas was very insensitive when talking to Bojji, even though the boy is a prince and has a chance of being a future king. |

| Kage's backstory is pretty good. Not exactly enough to put me on the edge of my seat, but I can live. Otherwise the ending fight was kinda eh. I knew Bojji is a good guy but they are kinda pushing it with the feels here. |
| Damn, this is way better than i expected, it's already a straight 10/10. Bojji what a goat he was, the prince got completely rekt And now that Kage has joined him, can't wait to see what they will both bring us! Also, the start was amazing! We got the whole Kage and his family backstory, so they kinda share the faith, since everyone despises them. |

| man i didn't cry in kage backstory but i tear up when he told that to bojji, like for him to trust someone again after all that.. also bojji man, i hate really kind main character but I think bojji is an exception, i really just love this guy.. like he might not have the qualities you normally look for a king/leader but i'm sure he would really be a great one, like he's able to make kage a guy who suffers most of his life, trust ppl again.. I really cant wait to see where this would go!! |

| It's rare where the second episode of a new season anime manages to be even better than the first. The emotion and fleshing out of the backstory done thus far is even more well done than other animes with multiple seasons gone by. That ending really was tugging at the heart strings a bit. Can't wait to see where it goes from here , really good premise thus far. |
| This was frustating to watch so how much can we make he suffer so he can be super inspirational? seems to be the modus operandi this show is going to go for, I found most of the characters so unbearable, ugh. |
