No Season 2 announcement?

Nijigasaki got a S2 announcement as soon as it ended. And while Superstar did sell a bit less than Nijigasaki, it still sold an astronomical amount of blurays, remaining in first place with over 15000 disks sold(whereas the second place was always less than 5000).

So S2 is pretty much guranteed I'm guessing. Still bummed to see they didn't announce it right after. Always great to have an official announcement...

They could announce it in one of their upcoming first live tours. There is plenty of time and events for them to use for the announcement.
The Nijigaku 2nd season also wasn't announced immediately after the first season ended.

Season 2 didn’t get announced till last month which was a year since the anime came out. No doubt, they’re getting a season 2. It would be weird if they didn’t receive one. I’m probably guessing Summer 2022 is when we’ll get information on season 2, I don’t really see them announcing it this year.. though anything could happen

The tradition in Love Live! is after the anime ends they intend to do a announcement after their concert like every groups did. They will announce a 2nd season since the sales are doing fine and the tickets for live and online are ongoing

If you mean Nijigasaki, it was already announced in mid-May, which was 4.5 months after their anime ended. But we only got the 1st visual and airing date earlier this month during the anime anniversary.

As for Superstar!! That finale makes it seem like Season 2 is almost 100% guaranteed... it's just a matter of when, it's likely also gonna be 6 months after Nijigasaki Season 2 ends, so you're looking at Winter 2023.

Oh, my bad. Wow, I totally forgot Nijigasaki’s season 2 got announced in May. Time really went quick. Yeah, I could see Superstar season 2 being released at Winter 2023

Superstar multiple season is inevitable. There is also NHK behind of this (state-funded public broadcasting network which is the only one who has nation-wide broadcasting). Love Live Superstar is one of the successful programs of NHK Educational TV.

It should also sell well, the ending music are full of bangers for starters, how many idol anime have 12 9-10/10 songs in a row.

Superstar Season 2 probably on Jan 2023. They cannot make superstar airing on 2022 because that will make bad sales for BDs and CDs sales for Niji and Superstar. Although right now new love live BDs and CDs out every week that make love live group fighting with each other.

Even if love live superstar hits less than 15000 blurays sold, they would take the series second season, love live is big media franchise in japan, they not only made anime, they make live concert, magazine, a lot of PV, etc. they made love live superstar even before the anime release

Nijigasaki s2 didn't get announced until 2 months after it finished up.

I can guarantee 99.99% it will get 2nd season..
But before that come, I think maybe we will get a OVA episode or something..
Or 2nd MV for 2nd single after Hajimaru..
And in surprise move from studio, we get a movie first, later season 2..
