| Before the various HD collections and ports to non-PlayStation systems: The story being split up on multiple consoles/handhelds. That said, as tempting the PC versions are (mainly 2.8, 3, and mods), I don't need four versions of KH1, 2 and Re:CoM, and the newer games run well enough on a PS4 Pro in 1080p. |

| Whatever about the difficulty, KH3 combat was fun. That is something the combat hasn't been on the whole since... KH2. And the Re:Mind secret bosses were pretty fun to fight, too. The story's presentation has always been overly corny and cringey, to the point that piling on twists that create stupefying clusterfucks actually gave it some charm. At this point, I'm just hoping it gets even more insane with anything else down the line so it gives me smth to smile at occasionally, at least. But the business practices Square had with these games have been shitty for a while now. Relegating a lot of the spin-offs (which still have an overabundance of story context for anything in the series) to a few different handheld consoles. Adding phone and browser games with story content that could have importance. Then proceeding to release a few different bundles. To re-package KH1 with shit pertaining to it, to re-package KH2 with shit pertaining to it, released the Aqua episode and re-packaged it with 2.5. Then they bundled all that together. I'm just waiting for more spin-offs just to see how many more bundles will they squeeze out of that at this point. |
