I'm quite surprised this is getting an adaptation, manga translation has been dead since forever and none of Hanazawa's other works were ever adapted before, even I Am a Hero. We'll see how it's gonna turn out.

Ye but at least now we wont need to wait for the manga to be translated and hopefully the animation lives up to the manga art

It will start airing in 2023.

The official Twitter account for Kodansha's Young Magazine announced on Friday that the television anime for Kengo Hanazawa's Under Ninja manga will premiere in 2023.

Because this feels much more worth it than the author's extensive and exhausting works* on the fragility of the male ego and going absolutely nowhere? Then again, 10 or so chapters aren't much to judge; I might eat my words later.

*) I say this, but I only ever finished I Am a Hero (couldn't get past the first few chapters of Boys on the Run for the same reason; at least the other one got zombies and shit). And I know I'm a little harsh, as it's soo much more than its shitty mc or how his much more fleshed-out companions get reduced to cheap plot props or other much-more-interesting side characters stay just that (or die needless deaths).

@ElqBell because I Am a Hero finished years ago and Under Ninja's still coming out? I'm sure you do know that the majority of anime adaptations are just ads for the source material?
