Yeah. I used to buy the attack on titan manga so when the ending dropped I was pretty pissed.

I just feel angry but not betrayed, that's the story and I have to accept it, can you even imagine how annoyed I was when I read the last 2 Prison School chapters? Back in the day I had the manga and Hiramoto in favs, not anymore

Nope, another reason why you shouldn't devote yourself for an anime

😑😑😑

Really?
This thread is probably only for Attack on Titan I just want to forget about it
Why can't they just move forward in real life?

No, because for Samurai like me the road is more important than what is at the end, and the years of pleasure that happened before the bad ending must not be forgotten. People who was saying Attack on Titan is 10/10 to chapter 123 and then give it 1/10 review because of last 16 chapters are funny to me.

If the ending betrays the premise of a story such as with Naruto abandoning the hard work over talent/destiny or, going outside of anime/manga, the last season of Game of Thrones betraying all core themes and character arcs of the show, then yes as it actively betrays any expectations fans were given to invest in it. If the bad ending doesn't contradict the core elements of the story though, then no as it's just simply poor writing from an incompetent author.

Edit: Just noticed the title specified favourite anime/manga. The answer is no by default as Legend of the Galactic Heroes had a solid ending and Ashita no Joe's ending is the best in the medium.

Disappointed maybe but betrayed no.
Don't let others ruin things for you. Even if a toxic fan pisses in your cereal, you could just get another bowl of cereal.

I watched The Anthem of the Heart just couple of weeks before last chapter of AOT came out, I should have taken that as a warning cuz both of those endings had left me disappointed and I wished that I never came across either one of those stories.

I usually no longer consider them favorites if the ending is awful. Though it it a sad feeling to have something finish poorly
