Just finished it and it was heck of an emotional train. I’m surprised he got old in the end, I thought he can just change forms and he’ll be back to how he was, I guess he just decided to not to do that

Overall , 9/10, looking forward for the 2nd season.

Ehhh this anime is 5/10 at best. Every arc is same to each other and every arc has many too many inconsistency and overall very repetitive. Arcs doesn't have connection to each other just author randomly writing drama porn.

If you watch Episode 1 of the series, you pretty much watched the entire anime because every other episode is just stretched version of episode 1.

The end like the beginning. But it's more of a small halt in the entire story. I watched it just at the right time. S2 will air in a month & I'm glad i won't have to wait for too long. I'm still gonna read the manga though. Just not now. I lack the courage to do so.

Can't wait to accompany Fushi in his new journey

If only it was as good as the first episode. Also that last arc feels so so rushed.

Pioran is my favorite character in TYE and I had nearly given up due to the last arc, but this last episode really redeemed it for me. The first time I cried since the beginning of the arc, this episode really broke my heart.

Finished rewatching this in preparation for season 2 in under 3 weeks, and this was a mess of an anime overall. Had some decent moments at times (especially with some aspects to Gugu's character and his development in phases during his arc), but the rest of the series was pretty rough and forced to get through. That final arc of this season was godawful in particular, but at least this final episode was not too bad compared to the rest of the arc. Pioran's one of the better elements too in this series despite her limited appearances from time to time. Not too excited for season 2 to say the least, never really got emotionally invested rewatching it.

Hayase is best girl, she made this show a little bit interesting, she honestly carried this overrated show

Not gonna lie, the fact that this show was so hell-bent on killing characters off lessened the impact of those events. The March death was surprising because you just don’t expect kids to get offed, but once that happened I just expected that every possible character introduced had some kind of death flag over them. When a show conditions you to start expecting something, the impact of that something happening is significantly tempered.

Maybe I shouldn't watch previews because I know that this whole "See you Pioran Imma leave you" thing isn't what is gonna happen.

The scene where Pioran and Fushi hug did get me a little bit in the feels. That's because, as opposed to Mia, Oopa, and Uroy, I actually had time to know Pioran and watch her relationship with Fushi grow.

I guess Hayase is still alive?

Well at least we get a nice episode with Fushi hanging out with Pioran. Throwback to the earlier better episodes imo.

Pioran is a badass at this age so she must have been one when she was younger too. Sad that she is gonna probably die this episode :(.
Calling it now: Pioran is gonna die when he comes back from grabbing the potatoes.

So, everything was really spoiled by the OP huh? I saw this scene of her walking in it. Also the scene with Tonari being held over the fire.

Lol the sad rain coming in.

Is that guy at the end Fushi?

first 9 eps or so were 10/10 but then I didn't really like the Jananda arc and gugu's was a bit ridiculous at some parts. 7/10 overall. might watch the second season but currently undecided. I liked this episode. It was better than the last few imo.

So basically, Pioran would've gone to heaven... we still don't know exactly the nature of the crimes she committed in her lifetime, but she was a great person. RIP Pioran. Those blurry dreamy scenes we see when the characters die always make me cry.

Pulling through those last few episodes was hard because the island arc sucked, but this finale reminded me of why I loved this show in the first place. It really made me FEEL again.

Well, I managed to binge all 20 episodes in time to catch up with the currently airing season, which was my goal! On to season 2, episode 1!

Brilliant, I love the way It shows how time keeps moving on around Fushi, and how he's trying to understand humans, but can't. It's a great, quite rare breed of anime, so to say, and I adore It. Still waiting on the 13th episode of the second season.

Finally! an awesome episode! after the trainwreck of that shitty island arc, I needed something good, and boy, this episode didn't disappoint, these are the types of episodes that makes this anime good, that shitty island arc was nothing like this, those shitty episodes felt more like filler episodes, but THIS one is good, I'm glad this anime went back to its roots with these types of awesome, emotional episodes and yeah, it brought me a couple of tears too and if something gets me teary eyed then they did great! this is sure a good ending and I got into the mood in watching S2 thanks to this episode.

I still believe this season needed to end in episode 12 with Gugu's death, if it did I would have rated this a 10/10 and it would have been a masterpiece but the fucking shitty island arc ruined everything good this season provided so I will end this season with a rating of:

7/10

very enjoyable series, immo got so fine at the end omg. so he spent a few decades in the boy's form but he wasn't attacked until then, interesting.
it didn't make me emotional like I thought it would but I was attached to the characters. pioran may have the same fate as immo now, perhaps to fight alongside him as being 'immortal'

I used Aristotelian logic to analyze the entire anime several times and discovered a perfect pattern in the distribution of premises in the characters' dialogues. Anyone who knows Aristotelian logic can analyze it for themselves, this entire text I wrote is not my opinion but rather classical logic.

Pioran wasn't lying when she said she was pretty when she was young.

Who’s the young girl Fushi turns into while trying to get away from Pioran near the campfire??

Edit: I guess that’s Parona with her “disguise”

Also, thanks to the zombie apocalypse (which was super lame btw) he gained a bunch of useless vessels…

I'll have a hard time rating this anime. It sure is good material, but somehow not so pleasurable to watch as you'd expect.
Sometimes random things just happen.
How could Fushi (as Fushi) jump, grab Tonari and Hayase and land safely on the other side of a large pit?
The "black thing" is supposed to be an observer/counselor from the world the original sphere comes from...why does he have the power to concede death and reincarnate people?

I was determined not to watch the sequel, but that ending made me curious about what would happen. If Fushi can grow to that age, does that mean the Nokkers never attack him brutally again? I mean to the point where he has to go back to being a young Fushi...

Seems like Hayase is also still alive. So annoying.

Pioran's death is a very natural and acceptable death. I'm glad that this last episode ended with a very humane phase of life. Fushi needs to get used to death. Not that it makes him take human life lightly, it's just that if he is constantly afraid of it, he will only lose more and more things and people around him.
