We all have that one game that we pick up and immediately hooks us, mine was Yakuza and the Shin Megami Tensei series, what was yours?

For me it was probably Persona 5. I just felt really immersed in the story as soon as it popped off. An honorable mention would be Super Smash Bros Ultimate. When I first played it on Christmas day, I already knew I was going to dump hundreds of hours into it.

Most Atlus games are like that, I've probably played way too many of their games because of how fun they are. Persona 5 made 100 hours feel like 20.

probably PAYDAY 2. I remember instantly being hooked on playing it, even playing solo. I mean, I know nowadays the game is kinda creatively bankrupt and there are so many dlc's that would give Sims 4 a run for its money (to the point where legit more than half the game is DLC at this point) but it's still was a pretty fun game

Worms Armageddon. The very first time i saw it i couldn't even know it wasn't even at the best of its potential because it was the PSX port, and teams were limited to 4 worms only instead of 8 as in the computer version as gladly discovered months after. And there's even more, because the friend that was playing it renamed the members of the two teams with the nicknames of us classmates of the 3rd year of junior high. I was like "cool, you can name the worms as you want, there's no way its customization can be pushed even further" (*flags, backgrounds, winning theme songs and custom voices has entered the chat)

Stardew Valley. I fell in love with the atmosphere immediately and got hooked right off the bat. It's a really good game that everyone should at least play once.

What do you think are the most important things in life? Money, dreams, sympathy towards others...

Yes, they're all important things as well... But the most important thing is responsibility for your own actions.

Half-life: Alyx, the minute I got into the opening sequence I was hooked. I still can't believe there isn't another AAA VR game like that. I would also say Beat Saber, although I was definitely frustrated at first haha

Raging Loop. I bought it on a whim thinking it would be a decent visual novel but the atmosphere and style is thick from the get-go.

Mine might not be a very popular answer but Dark Cloud, the original on the Ps2 was definitely the game I loved immediately and still do to this day. It's a very flawed RPG, the weapon grinding system can be a bit repetitive, sometimes the dungeons can pull unfair limited zones like the floors that will randomly reduce your weapons abs and all of that weapon exp which you need to upgrade and build your weapons into new stronger weapons will be drained and all of that effort you put into it is wasted.(Like seriously what heck? XD)

But there's honestly no other game I've played that's like it! It's like a combination between a town building simulator and a hack n slash dungeon crawler and it can be very addicting! I love the storytelling and the cast of characters you get throughout the game each with a special ability and signature weapon and the music's one of my favorite osts by far!

Oh yeah Lunar 2 Eternal Blue is another game that holds dear to me. I'm a huge fan of the Lunar series.

Agreed, I knew I'd love TWEWY and Pokémon SoulSilver (was already a huge fan of Pokémon Silver) before I even beat the first third of these games.

That's an interesting Yakuza game to pick for a thread like this. Was it the first one you played or because Onomichi was particularly comfy? Or maybe the baby calming mechanic. lmao

Def red dead redemption 2.The storyline was amazing but the thing I loved more about the game was the option of the main character insulting random npc and start a fight with his antagonize/trash talking.Once I antagonized random dude who was hunting the dude tried to Said something and the main character aka Arthur said "IM TALKING" didn't even gave a chance to him to talk back.
The gameplay is very good and the world In this game is beautiful.

Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 2 (liked the other two as well but 2 was just amazing), Oblivion, Morrowind, Gran Turismo 2, Beyond Good and Evil and probably a few more but these ones just had me hooked within like the first 10 minutes.

Oh and Monsters Inc. Scare Island for the PS1 of course. Loved that game as a kid.
