For reference, this is an official thing done by the studio, and not just some random people breaking the movie up. The 6 episode breakdown was also released stateside, on Toonami. In fact, it seems like the movie is the Japanese release, and the series is the US one. FLCL Progressive [ https://myanimelist.net/anime/33010/FLCL_Progressive ] was also released as both a movie in Japan, and a series stateside, on Toonami [ https://anidb.net/anime/12023 ]. For other anime in this situation, MAL generally lists two titles, one for each release format. That would seem to be the thing to do here, right? |

| It's a different breakdown, from a single run movie to 6 split runs with op/ed. Scenes don't change, but we've done identical things in two titles before, when they were done twice in two different formats/venues. |
