I’ve only read the first volume of manga and only watched 1 1/2 seasons of the show and 2 of the spin off things.
The spin off things just give you a little backstory into some people in the TG universe.
Season 1 of the show is actually really good as it’s pretty loyal to the manga. But after that the show just doesn’t know what it wants to do anymore and tries going in many different directions which I hear confused not only the fan base but the actual show itself. My recommendation is to just read the manga. Everyone I see talk about TG. Will say that the anime is one of the most awful anime made, but the manga is an utter masterpiece.
And after only reading volume 1, I’d probably agree.

I enjoyed the first two season. S1 has a slightly changes from the manga,but didn't efected the story. S2 is where it becomes confusing,'cause this is where anime take a different direction from the manga. But the fight was pretty cool,so I let it pass. The rest of the season was honestly no good at all. I don't know wheither you're a type where these kind of thing could bothered you while watching,or the type where could enjoy anything wheither it is good or bad(I mean,there's people who say all season was good,I don't know why). But if you're like me,watch the anime,then read the manga for full experience.

First and second season is very good but Tokyo ghoul:re is bad I watched 6-7 episodes, it was boring and confusing I didn't continue.

i have mixed feelings about tokyo ghoul. i thought the first season was not bad just a little slow paced. after the first season i feel like it started to get boring and would not recommend.

The manga is fine. The anime is terrible. And my favourite anime is FMA 2003, so it's not a matter of "the anime doesn't follow the manga!1!1!1!".

Tokyo ghoul is one of my favorite anime(season 1 and 2) so I highly recommend it if you like something more goory and darker

All anime series is 5.5-6/10 for me i think. if you want tg you can read Manga. manga is better than TV series

While the first season and beginning of re: I thought were pretty well adapted, the animation, cut content and story development really takes a nose-dive anywhere outside of those two seasons.

However, the manga and anime both had pacing problems as the author seemed to have wanted to rush towards the ending, which I don't mind, but the journey before that just seems like it could've been expanded upon.

I watch a lot of stuff

I didn't enjoy it. The anime just clearly lacked valued info and seemed too rushed to fit fight scenes without giving any understanding towards the viewers. I'd say read the manga if you truly want to experience it.

I have seen the subbed version and it's pretty good (pretty sure the subbed version is good as well). You won't find anything bad about Tokyo Ghoul if you haven't read the manga. I haven't so I enjoyed it.

It is not that it is for say bad, the source material was very good, but they rushed it which leaves holes in the plot which makes it extremely flawed.

The first season was good in my opinion but I dropped it at the second season

first season was actually pretty good imo and of my close friends but tbh i can see why people didn’t like the 2nd season, it felt a bit dragged thru but it was good overall tbh
