My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected (light novel)
| That’s the point. To not understand. For the readers and audience is because is purposely conveyed ambiguously. In universe is because is a contradiction. The reader is expected to project this conversation with an inherent problem between the parties. That particular problem is the essence of the main issue Hachiman and Yukino have and later on becomes even more apparent. Hachiman is trying to say that he will take responsibility (For something that he wasn’t asked for because Yukino didn’t want to depend on him nor making him take all the responsibility upon himself “I made Iroha Student Council President so is my duty to deal with her problem alone” instead of relying on his friends since both girls want to pitch in to decrease the burden, that’s just one of many issues they are dealing with) because he is reliable instead of saying the obvious much more simpler reason as to why he does things: Because he wants to help (her) and be there (for her). These events are what triggered Episode 8’s climax. |
